careful with the dehumanization, that's exactly what enabled people to perform the most hideous of crimes against humanity

How about we have murders go into a Colosseum, and the remaining one can die from natural causes in solitary confinement?
Make it an annual pay per view event show like the running man/death race.
Could have a discussion all day about this but quite simply, I'm against it. Mostly because it's a system that can be subject to abuse and it's irreversible. I think life without parole is overall a better alternative.
I am for it. I believe the Bible, and God has caused people to do for some sins, even in the New Testament.
Can't wait for The Zelder Scrolls 3: Breath of The Wild Hunt!
I'm strongly against the death sentence, it defeats the purpose of a justice system.
It would be an injustice to let him live. The penal system is about punishment. Should a regular murderer be sentenced to death? No. Life.
Should a serial killer be sentenced to death. You bet your ass

No. Under certain circumstances it does sound tempting, but still no.
I'm in favor of it. Honestly, the kind of people who make heinous attacks against humanity should face the same fate. Though I am also in favor of a life sentence without parole, I don't trust the judicial system. That same suspect can get life with parole and get freed down the line. Or depending on the crime, he can be given a light sentence, and I'm really tired of that.
No... because a lifetime of prison will always be a worse than death.
Against. It's cheaper to put them in a privatized jail for life. Plus serial killers might kill some other inmates, saving the tax payer more money!
Now being serious, still against. Irreversible and all that, trial by jury isn't fool proof. Even if it was fool proof, it would still be admitting defeat by killing the killer.
Of course if someone kills my wife or kid(s) then they deserve to die. Emotion > Reason.
