What? How?

Ever since MS released W8, XBox has become their gaming platform on PC, Home console and Touch devices. For example, if a game releases on X1 and PC, I would absolutely count it as an exclusive if it is under the XBox brand, since it is not available on a Sony device. I would also go as far as to say that Shemue 3, if release only on PC and PS4, is a Sony exclusive even if Sony aren´t the ones actually behind the game.

There is a name that. Console exclusive.

For me:

Halo 5 >>>>>>>>>> UC4. Halo wins this no debate.

Forza and GT is a tie, but I'm not really into either. Forza Horizon is now the superior game in racing and we'll probably see FH3 in 2016.

Rare >>> R&C (No interest in R&C. I love insomniac but R&C is there weakest game and I already po'd Rare for $20)

I'm not really interested in Fable or SFV but Fable is FTP so I'll give it the nod here.

Gears is one of my favorite games but with BC coming and Gears basically confirmed for it, I see no reason to buy the UE.

I don't really understand the hype for TLG. What was shown at e3 looked boring and I honestly have zero interest in the game.

Rise is a big one but it might come to PS4 eventually so I won't give MS too many points for it (even though I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't come to PS4).

Horizon is probably the wild card. Looked awesome at E3 and was one of the best new game annoucnements. But there is not enough info on it yet for me to give PS4 the win based on this one game alone. There's also a really good chance we don't see it until 2017.

OP question is a pretty easy win for MS right now. I know there are very few X1 owners on here so most probably disagreed. For me the real question should be X1 2016 vs. PS4 2016. MS will push to make sure Gears 4 hits next holiday. Add in Recore, Scalebound, Crackdown, Forza Horizon 3, Quantum Break and maybe even Phantom Dust and X1 has a solid 2016 lineup as well. It's somewhat ironic because I bought a PS4 at launch and waited till last holiday to buy my X1 thinking the PS4 would have the better games library but now I'm starting to feel the opposite.

Yes I agree even though I have a PC capable of playing any of these games.

As for the whole xbox thing it's just a name, they call it that because it's already a brand and they may aswell instead of just calling their apps "Games" or some other stuff nobody knows or cares about. I see lots of people here saying Xbox is now everything microsoft gaming, which I don't agree with. I don't think many people will ever see Xbox as PC gaming, it will always be just a console imo. What do you think microsoft are going to do after the XB1? I think they may be moving towards PC because they are planning to move away from or reduce focus on their consoles, though i'm not certain of that.

But that´s not the premise of the thread since both Fable, Tomb Raider and Street Fighter V is on the list in the OP. The term "exclusive" must have a broader meaning than being on one home console only. In that case we would never count remakes, games that release on PS4+Vita, or X1+PC.

For my nephew, XBox is not first and foremost a console, but the games he downloads on his dad´s pc. MS knows people want to game with a dedicated gaming device, aswell as multifunctional devices like PCs or touch enabled things. They will cater to all of them since MS first and foremost is a software company. They will become less and less hardware dependent but will still make some hardware themselves like Surface and X1. Since 2001, MS has finally understood how they must act when it comes to gaming, by thinking in a much broader perspective than Sony of Nintendo and focusing on their strengths.

Controversially probably - I would claim that Sony's 2015 output is going to end up being better than MS's 2015 output.

Bloodbourne, The Order (it's fun if underdeveloped), God of War 3 HD, Uncharted Collection, Heavy Rain/Beyond HD and Until Dawn just seem more my cup of tea.

Never played a Halo, Forza or Gears game, Fable i think will bomb (I think they've taken it in a totally wrong direction) and Rare Replay, never was a big fan of rare. Tomb Raider for me is the game that I would want out of MS's output and unfortunately for them its coming out on the same day as FO4... which will probably be my game of the year :)

If sony can get some PS4/PC content out like No mans Sky etc out before the end of the year, it will be even better.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

That's hard to say. Both are great. Except GT 7 isn't yet formally announcet for 2016.
Also Xbox has 2 remakes in it's lineup while all games from Sony are either sequels or brand new ips.
I think both are great for their own time period. Especially if all games will be released in their time period like they're saying.

IMO Sony has a better 2015 and 2016 lineup. However this isn't a black and white debate. For instance IMO just because Sony has the better line up, doesn't mean I would play all Sony games over MS ones. I would play Halo 5 over most of Sonys games infact. Both systems have a strong lineup this year and next and its a great time to be a gamer regardless. I would recommend buying the system you don't have when they offer deals this winter, that's what I'm gonna do.

Fair enough I see your reasoning

Xbox's lineup is only historical because it features all three games of the holy trinity (Forza gears and halo)

They're not actually better than sony's IP's they're just all microsoft has, so its impressive to xbox gamers

When it comes right down to it this is the truth.
