I imagine they were not happy. I mean if a console the game was not even marketed for outsells the one it was by a wide margin and in some cases even has a higher attach rate they have to see a lost opportunity.

I honestly believe that the 360 owners that moved to the PS4 were the non-FPS fans. WRPGs used to do just as good or better on the 360 as the PS3 and now its not even close.


Funny thing is that dragon age inquisition PS4 outsold all other versions combined (according to VGC) and Microsoft had advertising rights.

That means little when Tomb Raider (2013) came out on a console that sold over 70 million but only sold just under 2 million.

If it was coming out in September or early October i think it could have done well, but so close to other big titles and on the same day as Fallout 4 i can see this game doing poorly.

Like I said in another thread, I feel that the vocal Xbox community on the net is really overplaying the interest for Tomb Raider on their platform due to the exclusivity situation, so I'm not going to be the slightest bit surprised if the games' sales turn out rather unimpressive this holiday season.

i still think the game will do well. the last one did 8 million and it certainly has its fanbase.

I think it will flop, for both, espacially for MS and SE, i gues SE will learn from they re mistakes, and bring the game some months later in a better form on the PS4, were it really belongs

I have a feeling the timed exclusivity would end faster to get PS4 favors and thus a  potential to succeed commercially. I think SE would look forward to it interestingly. The Definitive editions of TR 2013 actually indicated PS4 fanbase being more. I'll miss the game if it wont make to PC or PS4.

The move to make it a timed exclusive on XBO won't hurt its LT sales, I feel. MS is banking on it being a system seller for the holiday period after Halo 5, and SE wouldn't have done the deal if they didn't think they would sell enough copies of the game.

I doubt that but I hope you're right.
