Also being made a marquee title for a console gives even GTA alot of help and publicity and GTA4 had MCIRSOFT marketing  and GTA5 had SONY marketing so they get BIG help from both the companies

And GTA on any platform would perform so well that it would turn the console war in that consoles drection.

their engine is for everygame from MAX PAYNE,RED DEAD REVOLUTION,LA NOIRE,etc.it has nothing to do with GTA

Since when has pretty much the biggest franchise in gaming needed help getting publicity? You don't exactly live up to your username, you're nuts if you think they'd throw away so many potential sales... Maybe they could have got a deal if microsoft never turned their image around or made any changes and sony gave them an absolute fuckload of money... But it's never happening in a million years now

well when new gaming franchises are coming up and CALL OF DUTY and other MEGATON franchises are there, people can forget even the biggest of OLD Franchises

back in 2010,people were really thinking GTA5 couldn't upset CALL of DUTY because of CALL OF DUTY's strenght and it could easily happen.Without $200million ROCKSTAR Marketing campaign and $50-100million SONY marketing campaign..............GTA5 could have much much less sales..............they surely do need publicity.

CALL OF DUTY sales don't come from its quality but its yearly $200million Marketing and Publicity campaigns

BIGGEST GAME FRANCHISES have fallen easily in the past for various reason  and many people just forgetting them because of long development times aka FINAL FANTASY,DUKE,DOOM,CALL OF DUTY decline,HALO decline,GRAN TURISMO decline..................the list is endless

they would easily sell 10million more copies on PS4 which were gonna be sold on XBONE and LATER release on XBONE & PC would bring back those sales anyway.they are not throwing anything away.

and SONY can easily pay them $100-300million for exclusive

No, they coudn't make a remake exclusive (FFVII), or a game like Street Fighter, which they funded, exclusive. So why would they be able to make the biggest third party title ever exclusive? Pretty impossible.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

No chance. They sell too much on the other consooles/Pcs to even consider that option. It would be just a plain stupid move

th way PS4 is going and with a price-cut and exlcusive, the lead is gonna extend and alot of X360 fanbase is on PS4 and USA fanbase with COD on PS4

PS4 is almost 2:1 to XBONE and look at GTA5 NEXT GEN sales again 2:1 and will increase even more.

GTA5 has sold 27million on PS3 and PS4 and 19million on X360 and XBONE.It can easily become 10 million for XBONE and 25million for PS4 with SONY spending $200 million on marketing and ROCKSTAR spending $200 million on marketing,it could easily become 35 million on PS4 with the rest 10-15 million for XBONE and PC Late release which will bring it equal to GTA5 and this is for first game in generation.Look at how GTA4 sold as it released early on a smaller install base.Later on for GTA7 it could even be 40million on PS4 and 10-15 million on XBONE.

If you would say you don't think so,that would be alrite but in no way is it NOT ATALL POSSIBLE cause it quite possible after the way SONY are going, even for GTA

they won't lose 1 sale from GTA5 if they went exclusive

Even if it was true, and those numbers are in no way realistic, it would still be a bad business decision, because of 2 main reasons:

1) Even if only 30% of the sales came from xbox and pc, we are still talking about MILLIONS.Rocksatr wouldnt just throw it all away just for some exclusivity deal that will do more harm than good(and that includes the marketing costs that supposedly sony would cover, which again wouldnt happen. They wouldnt at least cover it 100%, because it is alot of money to spend in one game that is not even owned by them.)

2)That would piss off fans, and that is the worst mistake here.Fans are the best marketing a game could ever get, and by doing this move they would only hurt the brand.

So no, this is not happening.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

its getting alot and better titles as the wii u at least. a console that relies on exclusives only.

ReCore - from the makers of metroid prime (yeah wii u wont get a prime game at all)

Tomb Raider timed exclusive

Halo 5

Forza 6

New GOW

and alot more

And wii u owner gets starfox and a mario maker.

Selling mario maker as a big title is even ridicoulus. Games like little big planet got level editors for yeard. INCLUDED. And both xbox and ps already got real 3d game creation kids (porject sparks, ps4 will get dreams).

Why even compare it to WiiU,that alone shows how low XBONE has fallen.

RECORE seems cool but i would expect anything more than 3-5million in sales at this time with what they have shown.

TOMB RAIDER isnt gonna do BIG things,it might move a few hundred thousand consoles

FORZA,why are we even talking about yearly milked to death franchise

HALO again, back in the day a title that could turn the entire console wars now milked to death yearly releases nowhere near it prime and fading

GEARS 4 will be nice and move some console but i wouldn't expect it to sell at max 7 million and even lower because of XBONE lower sales

alot more - lets see but the way MICROSOFT are going,i would really have my hopes high

enlightenedmaster, just stop. Please.

No.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Yeah, no. Sony does not have nearly enough money to throw at Rockstar to make that happen.

"Trick shot? The trick is NOT to get shot." - Lucian

GTA sells alot on Xbox so Rockstar wouldn't give that up.

FF7 is exclsuive as SONY is part owner of Final Fnatasy 7 and it wouldn't come to XBONE and they could cancel PC versions and as it is who is gonna buy FF7 on PC

As for STREET FIGHTER 6,I didn't know SONY funded it.if they did, again it wouldn't come to XBONE and PC could be canceled and as it is who is gonna play it on PC

so the argument it null and void

LOL no.
