Zelda U is build with the gamepad in mind porting to another console make little sense because the overall gameplay experience would suffer without the gamepad.
pros
gamepad provides a deeper gameplay experience: map, items on screen etc. easier to use more friendly UI which provides a seamless gameplay experience in a seamless open world game.
cons
slightly worse graphics, resolution etc. similar to Twilight Princess (Wii/Gamecube)
Zelda NX: we dont know anything about Nintendos next console so everything said is a guess/speculation.
pros
slightly better graphics similar to Twilight Princess (Wii/GameCube)
cons
no gamepad (who knows)
no screen, no seamless gameplay etc. you get the point. regular controller not that anything is wrong with that but like I said Zelda U is build with the gamepad in mind and i fail to see how it would turn out better on NX.
For those who think they can re build the entire game which is basically a remake of a already close to finish product is highly unlikely. In other words you wont see a big leap in graphics. I wont even go and try to talk about frame rates which imo isnt a big deal when it comes to a full 3D Zelda adventure game. And theres also that FUSION (console/handheld in one or same games work on both platforms lol) thing going on and if true it wont suffer that much because it has a second screen then according to some theories but lets keep that away from here at least for now.
I made this thread because i want to talk and see what people think about the game itself and the overall experience that awaits on Wii U or NX and not how the game would affect Nintendos next or current console or any other business related stuff.
the choice is yours.
