BC. And because they're still pushing the second screen for the Wii U now in its 11th hour. And because their next systems will be part of a unified platform, which is impossible to do when your hardware doesn't match up feature wise. They've already confirmed that games would work on both systems. Why do you think the N3DS exists with added bumpers and a second analog nub? To functionally mirror the Wii U's controls. Likely to test how that relationship will look for the NX and XDS.
Can't play XDS game on the NX without having a second screen. Can't play DS VC games on the NX without a second screen. Can't play Wii U games on the NX without a second screen. Can't play 3DS games on the NX without a second screen. The second screen isn't going anywhere, no matter how much people moan about it. But they won't whine this time because the new gamepad won't look like a fisherprice ipad-wannabe. It'll look more like a traditional controller, with a screen in the middle.
Kind of like the Vita when it has the trigger grip.

so no need to pause the game and choose items its easier on the gamepad screen. why do you think nx will have a second screen ?
