Omg. This pisses me off. I am a life long nintendo gamer and I am close to completely done with my own community. Frankly Nintendo did a bunch of stuff wrong at E3 but people are focusing on the wrong sh*t. Yeah your pissed nintendo didn't announce the games you made up in your own head, boo hoo for you. This effing ridiculous and everyone involved needs to get their heads out of their @$$.

I don't think Sonic Boom: Metroid Editon should be cancelled. They just shouldn't have slapped Metroid on it. The petition should be to change the Metroid theme, not to cancel it.

This petition for the game to cancelled is babyish. But you using the examples of Hunters and Pinball are void. Those games would of gotten the same equal hate. If those where the only games being released at the times. Imagine Metroid Pinball coming out only. And you waited 3 years for MP2. You'd call BS. Same for Hunters. MP3 was released a year later. With people knowning it exsisted before Hunters. Then you have MOM completly failing the franchises image to the fanbase. Hate was already there. In most peopels mind. It was 2007 when a good Metroid came out. Then you see mini federations fighting together. ON TOP of a really bad digital event. Equals complete mental breakdown. Nintendo created the perfect storm of hatred for Metroid. 

What Nintendo should of done was pulled M:FF from the event. And showed that footage of Zelda U in its place. They could of announced M:FF some other way. Like buy this and get a Metroid collection of so many games. Do I hate M:FF? Yes. Do I wish it cancelled? No. But I will not look at any further advertisments or promo videos for this game. This is not what I wanted. If Metroid Prime 4. Or Super Metroid 2 was announced, along with it. I wouldn't care then. And yes. I do own both Hunters and Pinball.

I dont think Nintendo wants to invest in a current gen Metroid after how this gen has played out. I think they are saving that for the NX. Personally it wouldnt hurt the DS because at least the money would come back to them for it. Their first party is taking a historic beating in sales. Its amazing that we even got Star Fox on the Wii U.

Frankly, Starfox needed to exsist. Nintendo's plate is so empty. They're forced to use their other stuff. Imagine if Starfox wasn't at the digital event. Nintendo gets screwed. Once its primary games come out for the system. And 3rd parties are dead. Since Pokemon console games normally can't work out half the time. It was either Starfox or F-Zero to use. And since Mario Kart exsists. I doubt they want to have anything too reduntant. So the cheaper to build games win out.

Cheaper to build is Nintendos philosophy. Even when they lose gens they never really lose financially because of it.

I believe it's just ambigiously 2016 right now, but considering Reggie or someone stated that they only show things at E3 that will be ready to go generally within 6 - 8 months, it's probably going to be a late Winter title in Februrary or so.
