Personally it wouldnt hurt the DS because at least the money would come back to them for it. Their first party is taking a historic beating in sales. Frankly, Starfox needed to exsist. Nintendo's plate is so empty. They're forced to use their other stuff. Imagine if Starfox wasn't at the digital event. Nintendo gets screwed. Once its primary games come out for the system. And 3rd parties are dead. Since Pokemon console games normally can't work out half the time. It was either Starfox or F-Zero to use. And since Mario Kart exsists. I doubt they want to have anything too reduntant. So the cheaper to build games win out.
