I still think the best way to play your old games is to just keep your old systems.

Yeah, but a lot of X1 users may not have a 360 down the road. Being able to enjoy a classic 360 game without having the hardware is pretty rad.

A couple years ago I played through Jet Set Radio Future for the first time thanks to BC (fantastic game by the way). I didn't need an OG Xbox to do it either.

Given Rare Replay has OG Xbox games, I wish MS would add a OG Xbox emulator as well.

BC 2 years in? Who cares besides people looking for a reason to be excited about their console of choice.

I think you need to consider how robust the X1 market place is going to look thanks to BC.

Some popular items in PSN are PS1 games.

My feelings on this: The 7th gen was when graphics reached that level of "diminishing returns". This gen, the leap is smaller but performance is better. Resolution, FPS, stability (well, maybe not stability as XBL has NEVER given me this much trouble before!). The games still look great. That's something that PS1 to PS2 or PS2 to PS3 (or Wii to Wii U) couldn't boast.

Having BC for the XB1 is like having a Blu Ray player that suddenly plays DVDs. It won't look as sharp but suddenly, your library is relevant, again.

Yes, this was such a big deal for the PS3 (being able to play that HUGE PS2 library) that they removed it within 2 years (actually I think they removed it almost the exact time from launch that MS is adding it).

Also since you deleted my 1st part of my post I will reiterate it. It would have been a bigger deal at launch when that large last gen library would have given people something more to play when this gen Libraries were still in infancy.

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

What was a big deal?

The remake of a game we played a dozen times, back in 1997 (FFVII)? The announcement that we will eventually see Sony BEGIN development of a sequel of a game that nobody played on consoles nobody owned (DC/XB) on back in 2000 as soon as enough money is raised? A game about a boy and a giant cat?

I can downplay pretty much anything if I want. Or I can be happy with what's offered. I enjoyed Sony and Microsoft's E3 showings. I thought they were fantastic. Mostly for the new games! Let's just all be happy for a while.

Will the RRoD be backwards compatible, too? I want the full experience!!

(You guys can use that if you want)

My 360 RROD on me so It's definitely pretty big for me

Now a way to transfer my saves... pls MS

They removed PS2 support... but eventually started selling PS2 games on PSN. They now offer 80+ PS2 games in their store.

Their PS1 offerings is almost 200 games.

PS Now offers a large number of PS3 games on PS4 and other devices!

I think having the ability to play old games is still a pretty big deal years after launch. Which is why Sony keeps pushing it. Right?

I would care if I were shopping for a PS4 or Xbone.  I didn't own a 360 so it would definitely influence my purchase.  Of course, they would need to add a lot more games for me to care.

You need to put your Xbox 360 saves on the cloud if you want to use them on X1.
