LOL I love how the only people complaining don't have or want an X1 and just wish it sucked so they could gloat.
Also, trying to misrepresent this selection available to the preview program members as being 'meager' when really it is a 'preview.'

Lol just like ppl downplaying the EA Access games. Now we only have 12/15 EA games added to the vault .
It's an underwhelming start but it's better than nothing, specially if it's "free" (as I assume you need Xbox Gold to be able to download the games, but most people have Xbox Gold anyways)
After it is said and done, I'm not terribly jealous as I still own a perfectly working PS3 in the same living room space as my PS4 so I'm not in desperate need for BC on PS4, but it would be a really nice addition. With PSNow however, I can't see them doing it anytime soon.

I doubt it's an actual emulator, it'd be very difficult to do that. It is a fantastic feature, just because some people think it [probably] doesn't work the way you think it does, doesn't mean the feature is bad in any way. |
Just to add.
VM is based in emulation... there is not way to make a game developed to X platform run in Y platform without emulation unless you recode the game like a port.
PS Virtaul Machines (VMs) emulates all hardware of a determined platform... it is emulation after all.
Well that is certainly a problem. I just hope they bring the 360 games I bought but didn't play.
Downplay is strong in that post... MS just won E3 or what....?? So we'll hav AR, VR, Streaming, BC, best of the best pad.. DX12, great exclusives... Win10... Microsoft platforms are definitely the best places to game and market shares prove it.... Leading platforms in game for more than 20 years... Who's house???? MS HOUSE 🏠

If it's just a VM, then why do you need to download "every game you put in" |
Right now we are all guessing. I stated if using a VM creating a profile really is not needed. If using emulation then a profile is needed. Right now is there any evidence on which one MS is doing. We all just guessing but I would state that if a profile is used then a VM is not what MS created but instead a 360 emulation. The emulation might run in its own virtual space but its not the same thing.

You are making this way to simplistic. Emulation can be a program that maps hardware calls to the running OS but its not same as creating a VM of the 360 environment. MS can host the emulation in its own VM so that it does not effect the other VMs just in case it crash or things of that sort. Creating a 360 VM is on a totally different level on the same level as creating a Windows VM. I think we are confusing the differences between the 2 environments.
so... people complain about not having backward compatibility, then, when they make it BC people still complain about its crappy list of supported games. What the hell is wrong with people?
the downplay is real......
seriously, they just announced it at E3. since when do you expect to immediately keep the benefits of E3 announcements?
I'm surprised there is even a list to use already.
