It's not all bad because i'm pretty sure if Skyrim didn't sell the units that it did we wouldn't have seen other fantasy rpgs of it's kind.

I agree with some, it is good because it is pooring money into the industry, if people pirated instead the industry could be dying.

People pirated alot during the playstation era, it was the best gen ever

They put money but in the wrong direction now. 


Any money going into the gaming industry is good. There's no wrong direction for the most part. if the companies are doing well, they'll take more chances with new IP's and bringing back old series. I depise sport games and I no longer play COD, AC, GTA, god of war, battlefield, halo, gears and far cry. I lost interest in them all for one reason or another but other people pay to play 'em and that money helps in some way produce the games that I want to play. 

More money isnt always good if its supporting the wrong direction, new people who get into videogames will pick one of those mainstream games instead other games. These mainstream games get bigger and end up being monopolistic telling other games they have to be like them.

My inner hipster? I have met someone who only plays call of duty ounce, this guy asked what i was i playing and i only replied Tekken. He immeaditly said that it was gay and talked about how great the zombie mode is yada yade. People like these dont deserve my respect.

hmm, devs just make what's popular. They're just responding to demand from the market. COD and GTA sells and people want to buy them.

That wouldn't have happened if you said a game he didn't know like Cho Aniki.
