Yeah, I'm fine with your theory. You're seeing both sides very clearly and from a non-biased perspective.

I just have an issue when people say something will definitively happen. After surprises like Splatoon and The Witcher, I don't think anyone should feel 100% confident with predictions for the Japanese market.

Indeed i hate when the people say "not a chance" because all can happen... you can use this word just with abissal situation, like there is not a chance for Wii U sell more than Wii lifetime.

But there is a chance for WU to outsell GameCube, of course. We don't talk abou 100m, but 22m...

I remember one thread when some people said it was impossible for the XB360 sell 50 million lifetime in 2008... it was very nice bump.

I think PS4 will beat out Wii U, but their baselines will be quite similar from now on. PS4 seems to have returned to a 10k baseline, and I can see Splatoon keeping Wii U at around 10k for a while. Once MGS releases PS4 should outsell Wii U like it did in March, but should drop sooner than it had in March. Overall, I can see PS4 and Wii U sales for this year being similar to last year in percentages, but with both platforms up YoY.
