I really love games like MarioKart, Splatoon, and super smash brothers for what they are. I enjoy the playing them each in short intervals (compared to my typical hour to hour and a half average for home console Zelda games). These games are all very similar and have the same crowd that buys each. What I really want is two things:

1) An option for people that buy these games digitally to literally merge them together so you can open up one "app" and select game modes from any of those three. I shouldn't have to switch apps around for games like these. They still would come out at seperate times and cost the same because they each are full games, but one by one they would be added to that app so you can select game modes from each without having to close the game down and start up a new one.

2) For people who only like to buy hard discs this could be tricker. One solution could be, as each new game comes out, Nintendo could also releas download files that enable people to just use the mario kart disc in order to play the new smash bros game (which is also physical). There could be otherways to do this physically that are better.

I just really don't want to have to switch between similar games anymore. I want to be able to do 4 mariokart races and then instantly jump over to a smash tournament.

I think a better option would just be to make booting games faster, having an app that's basically a main menu for multiple games just doesn't seem right... once you pick which mode from which game you want to play it'll still have to boot that game anyway, having a universal menu app wouldn't make swapping games any faster unless all the games ran on the same engine and used the same assets this just isn't really a feasable way to improve launch times between games.

You just proved the biggest complain about nintendo and the reason they are not selling, their most popular games are so similar they feel like different playmodes of the same game : /

To improve launch times in games. Remove all the legal BS and logos after the first time you see it. No system legal and logos. Allow boot game at start up. A no menus at all option. Remeber like the DS choice. Resume function like the One and PS4. The only thing you worry about is putting the proper disc in. If digital, you can launch anything while the game is active. Which the other systems do.

Allow resume stored in the memory. So all games can resume and not just the current game. Allow the menus to be customized so you can have all your games listed. And not any of the other programs. They could make a special cache for games you use a lot. Say 3. It loads the save file. Bypasses the start menu.

I don't see the point of it. If the next system is more powerful, it will have stronger hardware and better loading times. There are a lot of possible elements Nintendo could improve or introduce, so unless the loading times are as bad as Pokemon BW saving time, I don't see this being that much of a problem.
