Nopes, his statement is wrong so his point doesn't stand.

LMAO I swear lawlight, your the most stubborn guy i ever met on an online forum. If it makes you feel better, go ahead and believe yourself. xD

I'm just basing my numbers on media create. If you think you know better than them, great for you.

The PSP has sold 20 million, just look at the data on this site.  It doesn't matter, it won't be that long before 3DS passes it.  The PSP isn't selling anymore so i'm not really sure what lawlight's point is, he's just trolling you.

That much is obvious. I'm just giving him the little attention he so desires.

Not really - you just got your numbers wrong. No need to attempt and spin that.

It's still a winner, considering the incompetent of other competitor.

Wii U outsold PS4 last week in Japan

PS4 launched in March, meaning it has one holiday less than other systems. Also PS4 has some big games this like MGS5 so i expect it to pick up some pace.

I'm still trying to work out if this is a celebration thread or a commiserations thread?

I actually don't care about that, I am just here eating popcorn

Wrong, Wii U didnt sell 110k because of December, but because of big release, Mario 3D World if i remeber well. And last december, even with Mario Kart bundle and SSB, it never reached even half of that, so you see ...

Mario 3DWorld is released the week ending 23 November (24 in Japan) and WU sold barely more than 20,000... The week of 110,000 WU, 3DWorld have sold 90,000. So what? 110,000 because 3DWorld? 3DWorld that sold less than WU is the reason for the WU boost? around 20,000 people bought 2 WU for play 3DWorld? lmao. that's all what i can say.

And PS4 didnt sell 60k because of december, you can easily see that by comparing with the previous week, +40k with a bundle of a game without a game is not poor at all but very good.

No, 60,000 with a bundle in December is bad. And you can say what you want, but in the most important week of the year 60k is just bad.

And sorry but 3DS comparison is stupid, it's an old console with a huge number of system seller, and a handheld console.

Yeah, and is still above PS4 even after the market saturation... so, you see...

At contrary to Vita is true since Vita very few exclusive system sellers

That is just wrong. Sorry, but it is.

And i said the baseline would be around 20k outside droughts periods  even without big games so i dont see why you are telling me this

Because will not. In month like May, June, July, and August, the PS4 is not gonna to sell +20,000 all week even withouth games. and even with games will be hard.

So ps4 is the worse selling home console bar xbox in its first 15 months. Wow. Even wii u beat it. Wow. I thought it was doing great too

The numbers are interesting, however, because the PS3 currently sits at about 10.3 million units sold in its lifetime, meaning the monthly average isn’t too far off from PS4’s. It had a stronger launch, but weak longevity in the months and years that followed. So the PS4 currently sits about half a million behind the PS3 for its first-15-month sales numbers, yet its lifetime monthly average isn’t far behind. Keep an eye on that.

Fixed that for you .

Send a Friend Request On PSN :P

I can't see why anyone would cheer over this news. Even hen it does eventually outsell the Wii U, that in itself wont be an accomplishment considering its actually getting third party support.

And after that....well good luck with the declining dedicated videogames market in Japan.

Also not sure why people were bringing up holiday sales and missing a holiday, because that's the area where Nintendo consoles do actually shine, and not so much Sony.

What's on the horizon for PS4 to the end of this year that can push hardware sales anyway? Some western games have been doing well, and I heard someone in Japan on Gaf say that more people are talking about it in their circles. It is pretty much the only console in Japan with third party support, so if it can't gain more traction, well I dunno.

The eventual release of FF, MGS and maybe DQ should throw it over to 2-3 million sales eventually. Unfortunately I don't see it managing more than 5 million LTD there.
