You do realize a Robotech live action movie series is on the way right?

Also, I'd hardly consider a film franchise based on a pretty popular franchise that's been around in one form of another since the early 80's (that also happens to have aliens and giant robots in it) burning money.

I for one, will be seeing the first film as soon as possible.

Losing the bond series is no big loss. The Bourne movies starring Matt Damon are so much better in every way.
Maybe warner bros can do better with the series. And a new lead actor would help too I think

Well, as long as Sony is willing to spend more money on the rights than other studios then I guess they'll keep the rights. They'll probably see how Spectre will do. If it gets the same critical acclaim and boxoffice as Skyfall then it's a sure deal (though other studios might also bank in more because of that)
