Nah son, Bayonetta 2 & Xenoblade Chronicles: X & Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze  is the REASON to get a Wii U.

Fixed.

Felt like this one needed to be added in as well.

(I dont feel like SMB or SMW3D deserve to be on the list to be honest)

Splatoon is way to expensive for what it is, Nintendo should of sold the game at $50.

I never get what goes on in the US with game's pricing, but given your average income and how every other game seems to be cheaper there, i dont see the reason for complaint.

Splatoon is 40 euros in europe. The content is comparable to a CoD game, so i really dont get where you get the lower value of the game. Colors = must be cheaper?

Content is comparable to a CoD game??? The team working on this game must of been but a small fraction of the team working on CoD game.

Splatoon launch with only 5 multiplayer map.

Very limited 4 vs 4 multiplayer mode with lack of modes. The moment someone doesn't pull their weight or quits the game is so unbalance that it's hardly worth playing.

I enjoyed what little I played of this game, I'm just saying I won't be spending full retail price or think it's worth that much. Nintendo is simply gauging it's customer since they created an environment where the WiiU simply doesn't have any other new release. I also think it's a missed opportunity to move hardware by Nintendo. In Canada the WiiU Splatoon Bundle sell for 30$ more then the normal WiiU Bundle. Nintendo is only trying to cash out on the remaining install base and already moved focus on the Nintendo NX.

Like titanfall, a Nice game for one week, then bored

Don't have Titanfall and haven't really been following it, but I'd bet enough people still actively play it. What I can say with 100% certainty though is that Mario Kart 8's online is still played heavily and that game has far less depth and freshness than Splatoon.

Are you serious ? MK has far more depth than Splatoon, and far more content also. Online is far better too

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

As much as I love MK8. I´m seeing more depth on Splatoon.

And no, Splatoon is by far the best online experience on the console.

MK has a great local multiplayer, like a nintendo game should always have, that's the difference

Splatoon has like 900 viewers on twitch tv.
Its as valid a judgeing stick as any other... doesnt seem like that many.
Intrest in the game (veiwer wise) isnt as high any more as it was around launch. There was like 60k+ viewers for a few days there.

You guys think it will have long legs? or fade fast?

Yes because Nintendo gamers totally waste their life away watching others play. Not. Most Nintendo gamers (at least with the Wii U) are older than the typical teenage screaming and ranting players on the other devices and, therefore, have better things to do than watch other people play games.

Are you a casual? Mario Kart 8 is inherently more linear due to it's genre. There's only one way to go on a racetrack and all vehicles use pretty much the same strategy and inputs. What far more content? The game has 1.5 modes of play versus Splatoon's eventual 6 atleast. It has more tracks than Splatoon has maps, but each Splatoon maps is worth like 10 MK8 tracks as there's many different ways to approach them while again MK8's tracks only ever have one way to go. Online for me atleast has performed roughly the same, with random disconnects and occasionally heavy lag.

Do any of them have to do with your handle being "Dr.Vita"?

No. Nintendo brought us with Wii U nothing new. Look at PS4 and Xbox One, this is Next Gen!

Note: Before you understand this wrong - Wii U is a good console with awesome games, no doubt. But I am missing features like recording gameplay or a trophy (or something else) system on Wii U. Wii U feels exactly like Wii imo. To answer the op - Spatoon is not THE REASON to buy a Wii U, but it is a good exclusive game.

lol what is so next gen about ps4 and x1? really, that makes me laugh. there isnt a single game on those systems that i can think of that cant be done on ps3 or 360.
