I'm up for the league, obviously. Personally not as obsessed with chievos as I used to be, but an active achievement league would be good for the Xbox fans here on this site.


Great Halo Wars launch trailer btw. That game should keep me nicely occupied until Mass Effect comes out

Microsoft really needs to show me something soon in terms of reviving old, or creating new IP. I've been giving them the benefit of the doubt for the most part since Phil took over, because I figure most projects, and holes they got themselves into were set in stone before he ever got his hands on the wheel, but we are getting a few years into his tenor now, and it's getting to be about time to demonstrate that he is building the brand the right way with future projects.

Aaron Greenberg says that most of halo wars marketing will be digital. Whatever that means. Some tv marketing which means only a little bit of tv marketing. This is one Microsofts biggest games of the year and they can't afford to do tv commercials because it's "not efficient ".

It's sad that after Perfect Dark Zero the franchise floundered... It had the potential to be massive after the franchise debuted on the Nintendo 64.

Just remember that the majority of Xbox gamers will likely use the internet at some point.

Plus Halo Wars is likely only going to sell a couple million copies anyway, Halo Wars 1 did moderately well... Xbox One exclusives currently tend to sell less than their last-gen counterparts. -  Thus they can't go spastic with advertising as they will never recoup the expenditure, remember they are a business first.

Who watches tv nowadays? Their target demographics are not Cable TV watchers like Matrick wanted to think.

Also that Halo Wars 2 trailer only has 32k viewes in a few hours. Pretty low view rate for such a big series,

I know dude it's not looking good at all. between that and amazon and even gamestops chart, things don't look great. This game needs a steam release to at least help its pc sales. It also needs to review well or things are gunna get ugly. My expectation is between a 83-85. It automatically gets dinged for "franchise fatigue " so my expectations are for it to be good. This game really could use a 89-90 tho. 

My sales expections ions at this point 

 low end 1.5 million total(including digital and pc). And that's if the marketing continues to be crap and it reviews around 75-80

  high end 3 million total. That would be with decent marketing and meta of 88-90.

edit looked at YouTube. I saw 3 different versions of the trailer. One had 79k views, one had 54k,one had 15k. Also the first mission and second mission leak have about a combined 150k views and imho those are way better than the already great launch trailer. I literally haven't heard one negative thing about any of those 3 videos so the more views the better.
