Outer Worlds looks pretty awesome. I've never played a fallout game before this seems almost like a spiritual succession as far as I can see.

You should include them, they're MS owned IP now and the prediction league is for Microsoft IP. Just my take on it though.

Took them a little bit longer than I expected considering the poor sales. Will definitely finish the campaign during the next few days.


However, I started the Monster Hunter World trial.
Some impressions:
The character creator is amazing. Finally a game where you can create good looking human beings and not some weird uncanny monsters or characters that all look the same.
I chose the graphics mode and the game looks really good in motion. In screenshots...not so much. There's a clear lack of a decent AA solution. Also your character model is a lot more low rez, which is a shame since you probably spent a long time in the character creator. Framerate is pretty good though.
Then later on I tried the resolution mode. Game looks far sharper now but with reduced effects and much lower framerate. Pretty noticeable. Guess I will stay with graphics mode.
Gameplay-wise I'm not fully convinced. The intro and first proper mission were pretty good but the second mission was already a bit grindy and the combat didn't impress me.
Perfect game for a trial though. Might save me some money.

For such a big budget game, I can't quite understand why they don't fully voice the characters. Some NPC lines are dubbed, many aren't. Seems cheap. And that your character is completely mute. I hoped we were past that. It's fine for first person shooters, but when everyone around you is talking (lots of times directly to you), the camera comes up to your face and you don't have any lines, it completely breaks the immersion.

Been waiting for the Xbox Holiday sale... MS puts it out so late lol Last year it started on the 17th. Any word?

@poll, the initiative because I want to see what MS's idea for new IP AAA game from a new Studio could lead to, guessing it'll be an action-adventure type

Probably will start on the 22nd again this year like the last few years maybe it could start earlier on Tuesday for Gold subscribers like they usually do with Ultimate and Countdown sales.

On the hardware side they didn't have anywhere near as good deals for December so far so that means they are likely happy with the sales through November as the 2 week run up to Christmas in recent years has seen same or better value deals than Black Friday on Xbox consoles.

Haven't heard anything about it but honestly I just feel a bit indifferent about all these sales at this time of the year. Kinda happy when it's over and I can play all the stuff I bought before the next sale (Easter) begins.
