Would really like to see MS opening a big studio in Japan. Not that important for me but that would show they take this gaming culture serious. Not only a good sign for people who love japanese games but also to show other japanese studios that MS cares about what is produced there.

MS is a little bit too much focused on everything USA/UK...

They can't really buy a studio there but they could have build one already long ago.

No, this won't happen anytime soon. It is irrational to spend money on establishing studio in the market where you sell 100 consoles per week and have almost zero third-party support. It just won't make any sense. Probably it could have happened in the early Xbox days, but their new leadership doesn't like to risk with such huge investments.

I wasn't talking about selling consoles in Japan (even though it would help MS in the long run to maybe get e foot on the market). I was talking about showing japaneses devs and fans of japanese games that you take this gaming culture from there serious so that they support Xbox more.

That s is an excelent idea.

Sorry for my bad english.

Bought so many shitty little games in the sale....
Other than that I'm really not buying that many games anymore. I think GamePass plays a huge part in that.
Aven Colony, Cities Skylines, DiRT4, Forza Horizon 4, Hitman, Onrush, Shantae Half-Genie Hero, Snake Pass, Sniper Elite 4, Super Lucky's Tale, Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice.
All games that I would've bought otherwise. Since I don't know what games will be included in the future, I'm holding off buying games even at 15-20€ range.
My most recent acquisitions were Destiny 2 (6€ used) and The Crew 2 (8€). Can't do much wrong at those prices.

Definitely saves me a lot of money.

I get your point. But the problem is that I doubt MS will risk pouring a large sum of money into it. It would be a nice sign for Japanese devs that they care about the market, but at this point it is impossible to establish a studio in Japan for Microsoft without having huge losses for the first few years. And their current leadership doesn't really like to risk. They are very careful with what they do. So, I don't expect MS under Nadella to take such risk even if it can possibly benefit them in the future and increase their marketshare in the Japanese market.

Although, the xCloud seems like a step in the right direction in terms of appeal to Japanese customers. It is obvious that they can't sell consoles to them for whatever reason, Japanese just don't buy them. (100k is the worst sales number in Japan for any console in 30-40 years). But Japanese like handheld devices and gaming on the go. Switch is a major success there for the most part because of its portability. So, maybe xCloud will be a perfect approach for someone who likes mobile gaming.

Ashen release date is December 7th, while Below is December 14, if leaks are to be trusted. Presumably is going to be announced at Game Awards for Winter of Arcade.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

You should add one of the latest addition to GamePass, a pure gem imo :)

Mutant Year Zero... For any XCom like games, this is a must. I have to say it was a very pleasant surprise when I installed this baby and played it a lot since (in Very hard/Iron man mode ftw)

I'm going to try Mutant YZ for sure, I'm a huge fan of XCOM games

Me too. Already downloaded but going to wait a few more days to see if there are missable achievements.
Since I game share with myself I got Game Pass on my second account from the $1 deal and will buy it again with my first account at the beginning of January. 2 months for $2 and I will have plenty of time to test Mutant Year Zeor.
