Hey guys. Lost Odyssey had an update today of around 500 mb. Anyone know what it is?

Probably a BC update rather than the game it self they are usually 400-500mb when they happen and it downloads that for each game.

Just came back from a short holiday in Belgium.
GwG is pretty poor this month, but hey I don't own any of the X1 titles, so that's a plus. Good 360 games though.
GamePass gets an fantastic update. Dirt 4, Vermintide 2, Abzu, Shadow Complex Remastered are games I'm very interested in. Human Fall Flat is really good too!

Also I finally bought an Xbox One X. Well I ordered it. Should be here in about a week. Paid only 335€ for it so I'm very happy.

Games with Gold is extremely crap this month, but that's life.
Halo TV show makes me moist.

I feel like Microsoft is actually firing on all cylinders right now, the real question is if they can retain this momentum or just stagnate like the last few years.

Sooo looks like The Crew 2 tanked critically. At least when some in here thought it would rival Forza Horizon.
Still excited to play it eventually as I liked the first one very much.

Yeah....I made that comment before I realized the game doesn't even have pvp yet.....which is a huge, baffling omission, especially so for racer that's online only....

There are several other inconsistencies, such as grinding along walls being faster than taking a proper racing line in many instances. When going off a cliff that will seemingly send you airborne, all that happens is that you stick to the ground and just drive down the cliff... at any speed. It feels like the car is magnetized to the ground. Many landmarks from the first game have actually gotten removed. The natural expanses of the US look great, but the cities themselves seem too lifeless... The currency system is out of whack. During the night, it doesn't even feel like your headlights are on, even though they are. It's also very unclear what objects are destructible or not. Damage modelling is not-existent.  There's more as well, but it will take me forever to list.

Still though, the addition of boats and planes are awesome, and the ability to switch between the three is even more so. The upgrade system is improved, the customization is improved, the graphics are improved (for the most part). The cliche revenge tale is scrapped as well. 

Ivory tower is also releasing a lot of free dlc in the coming months. Two free cars a month, plus a big content update every three month (hovercrafts are being added in September, iirc). I gave the first crew a 5, and this is more like a 6. Still quite disappointing, since for me this comes nowhere near forza horizon so far. I'm probably not going actually buy the game until it ends up at $20 or gets significant improvements...

Completed games: Screamride, Demon's Crystals, Horse Racing 2016, South Park The Fractured But Whole, Hunter's Legacy

Screamride. This is actually a really really good launch game. Shame that it didn't sell that much. There are 3 different types of modes in this game. In the first you're driving a roller coaster and try to dodge obstacles and gain boosts. The second mode is sort of an Angry Birds clone and in the third you're creating your own tracks. I spent 18 hours to finish every level in the game, so there is quite some content in this little gem.

Demon's Crystals. Decent shoot'em up with lots of different weapons and levels. It's quite challenging too.

Horse Racing 2016. The name says it all. Terrible terrible game. Pathetic graphics, bad gameplay (mashing A) and very repetitive. Quick 1000G though. Only takes about 2 hours.

South Park The Fractured But Whole. Hmm where to start.... I loved the Stick of Truth and sadly the reviewers are right. This is not as good as the prequel. Which is a bit surprising to me as the trailers looked even better than the first. The game has two big flaws which make it inferior.
1) The battle system. Having spaces to move is a great idea but the execution is sadly not perfect. The biggest issue IMO lies within the range of the attacks. There are only very very few that allow you to hit an opponent from above or below. Also not that many that have a range of two spaces.
2) Lack of originality. In Stick of Truth we had zombie nazis, underpant gnome fights while you parents fucked in the background, 2D Canada, Alien UFO, etc. . In Fratured But Whole only Morgan Freeman and the last story mission which had a unique setting and enemies.
Another things that bugs me. The DLC doesn't have any new achievements. If that isn't lazy I don't know what is. Due to that I just raced through. It was pretty short. Hopefully the second story DLC will have achievements...

Hunter's Legacy. Platformer Metroidvania-style. Not bad but definitely not great either. Level design is the biggest issue IMO. Other than that decent. Took me 7 hours for a 100% run. Luckily an achievement unlocked for me without fulfilling the requirements, which allowed me to get the full 1000G.
