Did anyone notice that Sea of Thieves hit the four million players mark? At 00:06

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, so if it has, apologies in advance.

It was shown at E3. 4 million players is pretty good.

This game is probably the most Successful game in Rare's History, even if Haters don't want to admit it.

Finally got the OP/Title updated.

Tempted to make a Microsoft Studios list now too...

Now that its not embarrassing you mean?

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I'm hoping we get creative games from these studios and that Kung Fu game you've been asking for Ryuu

I can't believe that this has not been posted yet, Ninja Theory article about their future from only two months ago from PC Gamer. https://www.pcgamer.com/whats-next-for-ninja-theory-after-hellblade/

The most interesting thing about their future plans pre MS buyout.

"This year, I think we'll start showing some new stuff," Antoniades tells me. "We have 100 people...working on a mix of projects on different sizes and different themes. Some in VR, some in traditional. It's quite a good mix actually." I ask if the success of Hellblade means Antoniades feels any pressure to explore serious subjects in Ninja Theory's next game. "I think that's more down to my own personal interest. We've got other projects on the go, led by different team members who have their own personal slant on what they want to do, and they're not serious subjects, they are much more fun, traditional games if you like.

Those VR projects are probably dead unless MS plans VR for the XBO-X and Xbox 4.

Man so Ninja Theory don't own the Enslaved IP, MS need to buy it from Namco that game has potential if they Reboot it as an open world game and all the characters from that game are great Monkey would make an awesome guest character in Killer Instinct and so would Senua.

Let me go back and rewatch last year's Crackdown 3 showing and compare it.

Edit: Ok, so there is a graphical improvement for sure, but it's just not as big of an improvement as I was hoping for, so that's why I didn't notice it. Certainly not a big enough improvement to silence those saying that it looks last gen, still see quite a few comments like that ("it looks like a reskin of Saints Row 4 except they forgot to improve the graphics" and "this looks like it could run on Xbox 360" and such). Personally I don't really care about the graphics as long as the gameplay is fun (and it does look fun), but I did want to see them improve the graphics enough to shut up the haters.

The Stylized visuals haven't done it any favors in that regard.
I didn't expect a big overhaul to the visuals anyway, way to late in the development cycle for that.

But... The big issue I think was the lack of clutter back in last years showing, the world looked fairly bland and empty.

Jez just said that he got a DM from an Xbox Exec that the MS Studios acquisitions is just the beginning.

Wow MS spending money like there's no tomorrow. Wonder who they're gonna buy next.

THQ Nordic is gearing up to purchase studios https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2018-06-14-thq-noridc-completes-share-issue-worth-usd168m

I can see them focusing mainly on European company's one of them possibly being Crytek since getting the engine world help their 1st party studios for next gen and Larian Studios.

MS should try to buy Deck13 they would be a cheap pickup that has a ton of potential. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deck13
