I guess they will announce the "fixed MCC" for gamepass on E3 along with the announcement that Microsoft's Xbox and Xbox 360 games will start appearing on GP.

By the time the nex box launches, every Microsoft published game they have the right to will be part of GP.

Anyone here played Hellblade? Saw it's coming out on Xbox soon, but I don't really know much of anything about the game. Worth a buy for 30 bucks?

It's definitely worth playing but I guess it cam seem quite costly for how much game time you get from it along with very little replay value, I would personally say it's worth grabbing at it's launch price as it really is a great game but if not I'd recommend it for sure when it 50% off end of this year in the sales.

Appreciate the response. Will probably get it on sale then

Xbox has been doing really good in the US lately.it did about 850k units q1(Jan-March). It’s previous best q1 was 2014 with 710k(because of titan fall) every other year was 650k or less.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Just watched the reveal trailers for halo 2,3, and 4 again..... man there used to be real excitement about halo single player. Like don’t get me wrong I love 5. Im rank 100 and have like 18 days played or someonthing. But the campaign in that game fell flat.

I really hope 343 takes there time with 6. The campaign needs to be the god of war 4, or breath of the wild of halo. I expect a mp halo game this year and 6 with a heavy focus on campaign to launch with the next console March-November 2020. That will the campaign team 5 years get this right. This is what I want

• open world or possibly hub worlds(thinking like dragon age Inquisition, have 4-5 large hub worlds)

• Rpg or leveling elements. Could be as simple as upgrading guns/armor.

• campaign that has side missions/side story’s to explore ect

• beatable in 9 hrs or so if u rush the story but 20-25 if you explore it all.

• 100% master chef

• god tier soundtrack like ODST perhaps.

• continue with H2A/HW2 art style. Get away from the power ranger look that halo 5 has.

• rework enemy types and intelligence. Prometheans got to get vastly revamped or they got to go.

• the banished and ATRIOX all the way.

I still don't really understand wtf happened with Halo 5's campaign. I mean Halo 4, while not always the best in terms of mission design, had a really nice story, and put them in a very interesting position to work with moving forward. Then they did that truly stellar marketing campaign leading up to 5, Hunt the Truth was it....? In any case, it was a complete masterclass, and had me hyped for the campaign of the game at a level I hadn't felt for a Halo game since Halo 2. Then.....well....we got what we got. A product that was not only subpar in terms of the storytelling, but also had really nothing to do with what their marketing team had cooked up to sell us on it.

Maybe the marketing team should just get a raise, and write the actual game themselves.

Going though my backlog and just beat Deus Ex: HR DX Cut, surprisingly short and Easy as the game went on (Last Boss fight was disappointing). Will have to start Mankind Divided later.

Edit: I will put in a Review but not a detailed one, I would give this game a 8.5 it would have been over 9 but the last Mission was lame since imo *kinda spoiler-ish* None of the Enemies have weapons so you can rush this mission and the last Boss fight was a joke compared to the first 3. The Gunplay isn't that great but it's ok. The DLC mission is a drag and has a lazy design but I liked the story of it and it feels very unique compared to the rest of the game, Also the load times on the 360 are annoying.

If you have not played this game yet I recommend it, should be able to find fairly cheap on the net.

It's time for the campaign of both Halo and Gears to evolve imo, no more linearity it needs to be more open. Hub worlds is completely possible with Halo and Gears.

Q1 performance was super good regardless of the position. 20% more than your best year without a major output is fantastic. Hopefully second quarter will be as good. Momentum is good switching between releasing games, announcing BC games and game pass news.

Unfortunately that wouldn't last in the second half of the year. I don't expect games other than Horizon 4 and smaller games. Game pass wouldn't be a news anymore.

The negativity will start with E3 since Microsoft doesn't have games that are close to release. Almost every game is in the initial part of development. I hope they don't avoid this by announcing Fable, Perfect Dark, and other games.

Things that can save them and have a realistic chance of happening:

- Small third party exclusive releasing this year.

- The indie games that were announced last E3 impress the media and generate buzz.

- Splinter Cell exclusive/timed releasing on Q4.

- New first party studio around the guy they just hired.

- Halo 6 or Gears 5 trailer for Fall 2019.

A year of first half of SoT, SoD2 and CD3 and then a second half of two games of Cuphead caliper, Horizon 4 and SC is an excellent year in my book. A good start of Spencer era if he was honest about "just focusing on games". As diverse as it can get from Microsoft.

Next year might be tough though with only Ori, Forza spin-off and Halo/Gears.
