Are they going to rotate the 1st party games? Id rather play Crack or SoD when I want not when they grant me permission.

They will be a permanent part of GamePass from launch.

The new Game Pass announcement made me an Xbox One X owner today. Went to GameStop and picked up the X, and a Play and Charge kit. Re-upped my XBL Account for the first time since 2012 and started my free month of Game Pass.

Started playing Sunset Overdrive and Gears 4 today. Looking forward to the Master Chief Collections X update, then I plan to play through the whole series.

Is Xbox One X your first Xbox One purchase? Gratz either way Sunset Overdrive & Gears 4 are great.

Congrats KBG29! You'll have a great time playing those games. Gears 4 campaign on performance mode is sooo good.

Another topic, is anyone else hyped for Kingdom Come: Deliverence? I just watched some new gameplay clips and it looks amazing. Day one purchase for sure.

I was at one point because of it's uniqueness but now I think that's faded from me, I assume it will be great though and there's a few others (Noble) who are interested in it still.

Yea this confused me because I thought they were saying they'll always release there Day One permanently but not sure if it'd stay in there or get rotated.

I believe you're right that part just confused me. So if you're digital there really is no reason to buy 1st party MS games at $40-60 fairly new.

So just beat DmC.
It started off strong. Good cutscenes, Graphics are quite fine for last gen (obviously refined in the remaster), combat was fun too.
But the longer I played it the more issues I encountered.

What's up with the amount of weapons? Why does it introduce a new one every two levels?
Platforming sucks, really hard. Why is there so much of it? Either it's a combat section or (shitty) platforming. Should've rather added a puzzle here and there.

This leads me to controls and IMO the control scheme is just wrong.
Holding LT triggers angel mode and holding RT triggers demon mode. That's fine, but when I see blue circles, I naturally play X and when I see red ones I naturally press B.
So what happens is that when I do some platforming and there's a blue circle, I press LT+X (which is correct) and when there's a red circle I always press either RT+B which kills me OR I press LT+B, which also kills me. Same happens during boss fights.
The other thing that irritates me is that X is shoot, Y is attack and B is uppercut. I often press X because I think it's a light attack like most games in the genre have. Shooting should be B and uppercut either a different button or no button at all but a button combination.

Also the final boss was the easiest boss in the game. Disappointing.

Was an 8/10 at the start, but I have to lower it to 7/10.

I've completed this game a couple of weeks ago as well. I think that gameplay was pretty good. Can't say that it was ideal but I don't remember having some major issues with it. Though, the weak point in this game is it's plot and characters. Didn't like it that much. Though I agree with your rating. I would have given something like 7.5 probably 8 out of 10 to this game as well.

Dragon Age Inquisition is amazing! No lifed it 90 hours in less than 2 weeks.

I really hope they make a 4th version!

Just made one attempt to play SoT without any buddies and everyone bailed on me as no one could figure out what to do lol.

Will try again when online is busier.

I tried to play with randoms too. They locked me in a cage. Then I went solo. Found a treasure chest and just as I was about to bring it to an Outpost a wave sunk my ship. I managed to dive and retrieve The chest. Barely avoided drowning but as I was swimming towards the shore.. a shark attack. Died and lost my treasure.

Then I saw Ryuu96 and other playing and sent HIM a message if I could join their crew. No reply. Cried myself to sleep 😂

Yeah I might see if some of you guys or others I know are on tonight, but it was immediately clear to me this is not a solo game.

Also locked you in a cage WTF lol.

Agreed. The Trespasser DLC especially left the story at a great place

Amazing if you disregard the tedious side quests perhaps xD

As I was telling you yesterday, a 4th seems to be in development. Kotaku reported that it's a reboot instead of a sequel to Inquisition though. Bioware General Manager Casey Hudson said it will be very story/character focused which is good news for sure.

Yeah lol. That and the story were lacking to me. I liked the look of the world, and most of the regions! Dragons, and my own Inquisitor were my faves though.

Also thought it was lacking having Morrigan appear like 75% done the game

I bought the other two as it seemed like actual new story content. Plus all three were $15 a piece..Might look into the trespasser later though.

@Angelus
You seem like the only one here completely qualified to answer this question seeing that you literally got every single achievement in Witcher 3 and DA Inquisition. (Yeah I stalked your GS)

Which is the better game and why? Don't even want to know how in the world you managed both of those things. Props though.

Why didn't you just buy the gold edition, or whatever they call it, with all the content? That thing is constantly on sale for peanuts. In any case, you have to play Trespasser, it's the best of the DLCs, by far.

Witcher 3 is miles better. I'd happily argue it's the best game ever made, to date.

The writing is far superior across the board, ranging from individual dialog, side quests, to the main story. It's masterful at interweaving side content in a way that makes it feel like it's all part of the greater whole. It's more focused. The game is more mature in the handling of it's themes, and the way it presents them to the player. The characters are more personable. It's more emotionally engrossing. The soundtrack, and the atmosphere are just....epic. The world feels more alive.

I could talk about Witcher 3 all day and not run out of superlatives to describe it, honestly.

Now, I will say this; I'm a massive Dragon Age fan, and I actually replay those games (Origins in particular) more often than I replay the Witcher, but it's because despite being very similar in their style of setting, and inhabiting the same genre, they're ultimately rather different games. Witcher 3 is definitely the overall far better executed game, but there are some things it can't do, simply because it chooses not to. In Dragon Age, I can go back in and play with different party members, mess around with entirely different skill builds, and even after multiple playthroughs I can usually always find at least one or two new variations of certain outcomes that I hadn't seen yet. I love that kind of thing. Witcher will let you do some things a bit different to be sure, but the changes you see there are more nuanced, because the overall experience is so cohesive that you can't really go too crazy with individual quest lines. Even in terms of gameplay, while Witcher offers you some freedom to how you play, the net result is always very similar, because at the end of the day, all of Geralt's tools - whether you focus on sword play, magic, or alchemy - really interweave together for optimal play, so you always end up using a bit of everything in most situations. I also love the more tactical, overhead, chess style combat of the series (even if they've made it significantly more action friendly since the original). Plus I'm kind of obsessed with character creation. So, aside from the fact that they're both dark fantasy RPGs, and they both have really great lore, they're not really particularly similar in my opinion.

TLDR: Witcher 3 is the best game I've ever played. I've put over 300 hours into it. Every single aspect of the game literally oozes quality. But it doesn't scratch all my RPG needs.

Yea it's been very cheap for ages now , I bought the full GOTY bundle with everything in it digital for £10 in November 2016. Even though I haven't got around to playing it yet... haha
