Couple random thoughts from today. So halo wars 2 is getting all this special treatment 4K update/ bunch of dlc while mcc and 5 get the shaft. Halo 5 didn't get any paid dlc or campaign dlc at all. Nice to see the one awesome hw2 dlc isn't in my season pass btw. Is it just easier and cheaper to make dlc for that game? I am excited to get some halo stuff this year though. And so happy to see the flood return. I hope the cortona plot is over quickly in halo 6 and the majority of the game focuses on atriox and flood. I also wouldn't be opposed to both halo and gears going mp only (especially gears) and letting the campaign team make new singleplayer ip's. So I'm worried about Microsoft's commitment to Xbox does seam like they want to invest in games. There biggest news from e3 was indies and getting anthem marketing. To go along with that they priced XOX at 500 which tells me they are giving up. And at e3 they didn't mention anything about forward compatibility. In fact in a interview with jez the head marketing guy with Xbox completely avoided talking about forwards compatibility when asked a question. Anyway I don't want to buy it if it's only a mid gen upgrade. I don't see the point cause it won't sell enough for devs to put in real effort. Does anyone know if it's still going to be forwards compatibile because that's the only way I buy it.
If they want out of the console buisness than get out become a publisher only and let Sony release a Xbox controller for PlayStation.
Oh ya last thought. No splintercell at Ubisofts confrence made me very sad.

I also would love to know if Xbox One X is "forward compatible" just with lower settings in games as the next Xbox would have (if there is one).
500€ for a console is not even little at the start of a generation but then you know you will have years of support for it as long as it won't flop. 500€ for a console which does only let games look better as on a standard console and which could be already useless for games releasing in 2-3 years is really not where you say "that is fun to pay for".
If it would be future compatible it would be an easy purchase. but I guess the CPU could destroy that option. Engines are super scalable nowadays and there would speak nothing against future proof but the CPU will be maybe not good enough to realise games we see next gen.
