Forums - Nintendo - Splatoon: Nintendo why do you insist on bad ideas for great games?!

I'm sure they will tweak the game even more weekly. Sure they might be release flaws, but I don't think it's anything that Nintendo can't improve upon.

Dat denial! "Holding back everyone" then you contradict yourself by saying "some people's"

Again, there was no contradiction. That you didn't quote my whole post is telling. Everyone would be held back by omitting motion controls, some just wouldn't mind being held back. But others would mind, because the game would be inferior for it.

Dat denial yet again! Some people =/= everyone, and just saying no it's not because you say so will not change that truth. Ignored rest of post cause it was irrelevant to mine. Whether or not wiimote controls are superior has nothing to do with the fact that stick controls work perfectly fine as they always have nor with the wiimote not being the Wii U's primary control scheme hence should not be expected to be implemented into every game.

I believe tha Nunchuck + Wiimote wouldn´t work with Turf Wars.... because you need the map to choose a location for the quick jump when respawning and to observe where your teamates are and where you must go to recover ground.... ........ unless you had to lose some precious seconds looking at the map at the main screen and pointing where you want to go.

It's not just some people that are being held back though; the option would be denied to everyone. Some just wouldn't care, but that doesn't change the fact that they would not have the option open to them. A game should utilise whatever tools are available to be the best it can be, not limit itself because some prefer an older method. Gyro and dual sticks already coexist in Splatoon just fine, the Wiimote would simply be an extension of the former, and it has already been put to use in many Wii U game, from Pikmin to Donkey Kong to COD.

So I'm being held back because I can't use a control method that would hold me back? lol kay. And once again the rest of your post misses the point entirely, instead consisting of arbitrary rules and opinions as facts.

You'd be held back by being denied options and choice.

Wiimote use in numerous Wii U games is a fact. Motion and non motion coexisting is not only in place in Splatoon right now, but is well documented all the way back to Black Ops 1 and Goldeneye 007 in 2010.

Wow so you must believe every game in existence is holding us back then regardless of whether or not it actually does affect a player's gameplay experience.

Oh now you wanna directly respond to what I'm saying, but instead of doing so at me pointing out how what you're saying is just filler, respond to my actual points. If your next post fails to do so yet again then this discussion is over as I may aswell be talking to myself, actually no talking to myself is way more interesting.

This is the point; how is it a good thing to restrict player's options when said options have been demonstrated to coexist for years?

You're still avoiding the point at hand.
