THe dude in the video said that NMS might still be on the showfloor, also Sonys Fergal Gara counted No Man's Sky as a holiday release not even a month ago and at that time E3 was probably already planned out. I think you might be jumping to conclusions here.

Edit: That being said, should the game be delayed, then just wow, the fucking thing was announced December 2013, I can definitely feel myself going on another rant in the case of that delay happening.

Yeah. Some indie devs are really perfectionists. If you want to be excessively thorough then save the announcement for a later date closer to launch. Like where's The Witness? I hoped to be able to play that game shortly after PS4 launch XD
