OT: You can't combine all those into one cause they are drastically different from each other whereas Pokemon Blue/Green/Red are almost identical. Otherwise, you could combine all the Pokemon games together classified as "Pokemon Part 1"

If they're so similar why not simply have it all in one game? Is it memory constraints on the cartridge or is Nintendo just milking Pokemon fans? Why don't they do it with Super Smash Brothers Brawl? Have three almost identical versions with a few unique characters and levels in each? They could call them SSBB Blue, SSBB Red. and SSBB Green... Then fans could pay $150 buying all three versions and basically getting the full SSBB game.

It's pretty much Nintendo milking Pokemon fans.  In theory it encourages Pokemon players to get together and trade their Pokemon back and forth to get the full set (rather than buying both versions which the friendless compulsive people do).

 Its totally different than Smash Bros.  It was a agreat business choice by Nintendo because they knew people would buy more than one copy of essentially the same game.  You wouldnt really complain though because they had a good idea to go along with it, which was to get people trading pokemon.  This would give the player of the game the same feeling the characters INSIDE the game have, which is trading Pokemon.  It made you feel like an actual Pokemon Trainer.

Pokemon is completely different. Each is exactly the same, except some of the Pokemon can only be found in one version. GTA, on the other hand, is a totally new location and story each time around.

different Pokemon versions + different Nintendog versions = the biggest milking in the history of gaming.

 I actually agree with you, however my brother always buys the other version so I'm good anyways.
