Actually he said 1st party offerings were sparse. Games like Bloodbourne, Until Dawn and The Order aren't classed as first party. So take from that what you will. 1st party offerings are sparse but PS4 could release a few more this year and still be considered sparse. Not saying PS4 will have any surprises at E3 for 2015 1st party but there's a chance.

I believe this thread was necessary. I've seen XB1 users having the same behavior every season.

The "PS4 has no games" card has failed again. Just like it failed the last 10 times somebody tried to use it.

Meanwhile the PS4 keeps coming on top every single time.

Total of XB1 entries as of today: 208.
Total of PS4 entries as of today: 291
Do the math. That is almost a %40 advantage and 2015 will be no different.

And please feel free to use the quality over quantity card. Specially since the XB1 only has 3 games scored above 90 (none of those are XBox exclusives) and the PS4 has 9 (3 of those are PlayStation exclusives)

Nobody should feel offended by facts. You picked a different console than mine? Its ok, just dont look the other way and confuse people in order to justify your purchase.

Edit: I used Metacritic, for both console entries and scores. If you find a better sauce feel free to use it.

That's exactly my point. You decided to use your skewed image of PS4's and XB1's libraries to start a war instead of doing it objectively like this thread does. Now you're just making yourself look silly when you debate against a real list which shows that PS4 has MORE content. Plain and simple. There is no disconnect. The higher seller is getting more content. You just seem to be unable to see that.

I have to agree with Ninsect here. To say your a mod you haven't done yourself any favors with the majority of your comments. As a mod it's your job to help prevent threads being derailed and instead you contributed to it being derailed.

The list is just that, a list. Not sure why you got your got your back up over it. Fine say there are games that you wouldn't play but to speak for everybody on something that is subjective is wrong.

This list is nothing new for me. I mentioned it in some other discussions before: I don't get the complaints about a lack of games. I have barely enough time to play everything exclusive and semi-exclusive I like on my PS4 and then there are still some great 3rd Party Games I have to 'deal' with xD

PS4 has a lot of games. Fact.

If someone doesn't like the majority of those games: that's okay. I also don't like most of the games the XBox has to offer. But saying there are no games at all is just ridiculous.

I agree with all of this.

If you're true goal is to counter your perception that people are attacking the PS4's library as lacking games, in future it might be more productive to simply list the PS4's games - as opposed to offering a direct comparison to any other console, which will inevitably open up very different debates.

Why should I tread carefully because some people might not like the results? I was prepared to make this thread which ever way it went.

If people do not like what they see, why is that my fault?

Why do you think I put PS4 and X1 head to head? They are direct competitors and it actually gives you a better idea of how big each library is when you gauge them against each other. End of. If you don't like the way the thread is made or I should list games that "people will play" or whatever else you jotted about throughout the thread, make your own and you can make it exactly how you want it.

Sweeping statements shouldn't in any way be identifiable to an individual if they have negative connotations - and none of mine were.

I am sorry that your thread has not gone as you intended - many could have (and now have) explained to you why that was inevitable.

Fortunately, my 'back' is not up, and no offense taken. As I pointed out to Ninsect, you seem to be debating points I have not made.
