Well the Vita could hardly handle Borderlands 2 but it is possible, but I actually doubt it'll have specs around Vita or even more powerful than it.

What makes u think that? 3DS is basically right between PSP & PS2 in terms of power, it's very likely the successor will be somewhere right between Vita & PS3.

DQXI for ps4 would be the perfect match for sony, as it is a big system seller, even bigger than the final fantasy series

Would love a new mainline DQ game. VIII was amazing on PS2.

90% chance it's a 3DS game, 9% 3DS sucessor, .9% Vita, .09% PS3+4, .009% Wii U.

It barely sells outside japan after all.

it article strictly says its NOT being made for mobiles or handhelds. Are people even reading these things are just coming to there own ill formed conclusions?

you probably think project cars will come to wii u, ffxv and kh3 will be here soon and konami will make an awesome silent hills, huh.

so YOU know better than the actual game developer? Sure buddy. Until otherwide i'm going with what he said, not some random dude on the internet

If Final Fantasy can be Playstation/XBox multiplat, I think it's time for Dragon Quest to go the same way but

PS4/Nintendo NX multiplat.

There is no singular dominant platform left in Japan, and the NX portable (or whatever the successor to the 3DS is) will likely overtake the PS4's Japanese market base fairly quickly.

Wii U is dead in Japan, people just need to let that go, but NX is another ball game, especially if it is what a lot of people think it is (portable + home product hardware line that shares the same software ecosystem).

difference is MS ACTIVELY went to get FF on their systems. Something we already know Nintendo wont really do (judging by there actions) and Sony is iffy as well.

Probably Wii U exclusive at some point, then moved to PS4

lol. Well every DQ Game (10 mainline) are all playable on WiiU/3DS (at least in japan lmao), so it makes sense :p

OT: Everybody going to expect DQXI, which it definitely could be but there is still DQ:H2 or could be something else. SE, they surprise the World every time XD

Uuuuh no. It was never exclusive to Wii U. Hori has said many times that DQ goes to the console with the highest installbase. Thats why he is so nonchalant about telling us its for PS. Also if they had plans to support Wii U wih DQ it definitely would have gotten DQ heroes, which is exclusive to PS consoles. Looking at Wii U, how could anybody believe that a massively popular game like DQ would be exclusive to Wii U when it can barely get basic 3rd party support?_

Hori has also said they dont do multiplats as they like to focus on making the best game they can without worrying about a bunch of specs.

Finally, SE is obviously making a return to theirs gen5/6 days where they consolidated their products and fanbase on PlayStation.

It was sarcasm (thought it obvious) for the WiiU exclusive. As for your other arguments...

"Hori has said many times that DQ goes to the console with the highest installbase"

⇒WiiU is currently higher than ps4, even if its only for anther year. That said N3DS is evenhigher let alone 3DS. If installbase matters, putting on 3ds makes by far the most sense.

"Also if they had plans to support Wii U wih DQ it definitely would have gotten DQ heroes, which is exclusive to PS consoles."

⇒And yet DQX is Nintendo Exclusive (With a WiiU version 3 times), so is many DQ Games on 3DS as well as the ps2 port of DQVIII. Your point is also ironic as it is made from another company (Tecmo)

" Looking at Wii U, how could anybody believe that a massively popular game like DQ would be exclusive to Wii U when it can barely get basic 3rd party support?"

⇒Again, that doesn't mean much if a certain game could sell well. You act as if a WiiU exclusive DQ game would sell bad when DQ/MH/KH fan base is on both Nintendo/Sony Platforms. Look at DQX sales for wiiu (for clarification)

"Hori has also said they dont do multiplats as they like to focus on making the best game they can without worrying about a bunch of specs."

⇒Alot of people say things, especially SE.

"Finally, SE is obviously making a return to theirs gen5/6 days where they consolidated their products and fanbase on PlayStation."

⇒This just seems to be an excuse, if that were true again you see DQVIII on PS4, but you see it on 3DS. Its MH all over again

SE needs to give Dragon Quest the same treatment it did to final fantasy. Release a new one on a playstation home console and greatly expand it westward. Relying on Japan for the majority of its sales is a problem not a solution, they cannot continue to hinge their hopes on a market that is dying before our eyes. Hopefully SE and Sony can come together to get that done.
