Another problem is that in this community and I'm sorry that I have to say this, most gaming discussion (as in real discussion just about a game or games) is geniunely horrible. If it's a third party game that's not controversial, nobody cares, if it's controversial the discussion focuses on the controversy. And with first party games it's all a big dick measuring contest. And critique of something that people like is constantly met with nothing but aggressive backlash, don't anybody dare point out that something could be done better for your favourite system/game.
Well lol, looks like me and Cone have a completely different opinion on this forum. :D

Heh, so it would seem. Maybe we're just looking in different threads then
I know what you're talking about; negative threads get a lot more discussion than positive ones. And it's something that I and other users/mods have noticed and acknowledged, and are trying to fix. As I said in the previous post however this is not a "quick fix" and it's not going to be resolved overnight, but by promoting positivity and good threads (the "official thread thread" and the NintenDomination switchover being good examples) hopefully the situation can be turned around. It's important to note that it's not something that one man or woman can do by him/herself, though, and it requires the community to want to improve moreso than anything else.
But the ability to just talk in what is effectively a flame-free environment is something that I appreciate. There's very few aggressive posters or trolls out there and the mod team do a good job keeping most of 'em at the door.
