The Clicker aren't really that hard when you learn how to deal with them; you can one-shot them with a simple brick if they're unaware of your presence.


Compared to all the other enemies you have to face, the only one that poses  a "threat" is the clicker.  The rest are no challenge. You still have to be careful with them as one wrong move , you are dead.   While the rest , you pretty much can lure them to their death by killing one of their guys and then repeat till all of them are dead.

Also, just because someone talks about something, doesn't automatically make it great. People bring up Sonic 06 all the time, and that's shit (not saying TLOU is shit. Just an example).

The gameplay was solid, but it was a short game and the multiplayer modes weren't fun.

The story was good but the ending portion wasn't as incredible as many people say. If you read some books you wouldn't be surprised by the ending. It's the first game to present such a moral question (not really but Tales of the Abyss is an immature japanese game so it doesn't count) so it deserves some credit, it took us like 30 years to get here but we are close to achieving art form level.

The music was made by Argentinian Gustavo Santaolalla so I feel proud for that fact... not. No one remembers this game for the music, clearly Gustavo wasn't at it's best on this game.

Here's my feelings in a nutshell...

When it comes to story the game felt like a 10. When it comes to gameplay... it felt like a 6-7.

Towards the second half of the game I was very bored and sold it as soon as I completed it.

It is good, but it's way overrated and reviewers fell for the hype. Aside from the unrealistic situations in the AI, it's an extremely polished game, and in the story, atmosphere and graphics is where it shines. And there, it shines good, but in gameplay, it's nothing special.

We loved it. It honored the characters, it did justice to the themes, and it left things wide open for the inevitable sequel. We might not all agree with Joel's decision to sacrifice humanity's (last?) hope for a cordeyseps vaccine in order to keep Ellie around, but we understand why he made it and why it may not have been the best idea to give the Fireflies authority over who lives and dies in the new world.

No, our beef is not with Naughty Dog's ending--it's with you. Well, maybe not you, but definitely the guy beside you (yeah, him). The player who thinks developers owe it to them to give them authority over a game's ending and rants about it non-stop on game forums. Whether it's because BioWare gave in to fan demands for a better Mass Effect 3 ending, or because we've been trained to expect that degree of influence in other series, but there are a vocal few who genuinely believe Naughty Dog did a disservice in ending The Last of Us on its own terms. In truth, The Last of Us is stronger because it stuck to its guns. A choice of endings would have betrayed the specific tone and ideas Naughty Dog crafted over Joel and Ellie's journey. If you don't like it, that's perfectly fine--just don't whine about changing it. After all, no one likes complainers...

I agree with the article, I hate complainers. Why can't you people swallow the facts and accept the general consensus? Just say it's awesome and keep your filthy thoughts to yourself.
