That would really put Splatoon up there as one of the fastest selling games. Certainly in the top 5.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Bundle????? Well that changes things.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Bundle is exclusive  to BestBuy in US. Wont be big, maybe 10k at most imo

I think it will sell 1M maybe even 1.5-2M by the end of the year. I see these types of games as experimental periods for Nintendo. It strongly reminds me of The Gamecube era with Pikmin and Animal Crossing. Very experimental and those games sold fairly well.

Im going to be so..... Right, i think 1mil in a week now

i kid i kid!!!

Oh boy...fanboys really like to throw the word "innovation" and "new genre" really loosely

Im glad people are excited for the game but i think some people are expecting to much. Imo i dont think it will see 1 mil in a month. Out side of the forums i dont know anyone interested this game for launch.

So i dunno, it wont reach a mil in a month but im sure it will eventually

I wouldnt necessarily call it a new genre, but it is definitely innovative. What other game mechanics is in similar terms of Splatoon? Especially with the changing form in a liquid substance gameplay (going through fences/up walls/etc)

As for sales, there is actually alot of people thinking the game wont do well, im not saying 1mil is guaranteed for a month, rather it is very possible so hence im going with the prediction.

Dunno where the game is going to be biggest in NoA/Europe/japan, but its already as far as Shipments go About 120k in japan. That number could definitely go up a small amount and do more in June!

"The Witcher" and "Batman" - coming to Wii U??

Both titles are completly irrelevant for the Wii U owner. And they even don't compete with Splatoon as Splatoon defines a new genre within the shooter genre.

Because Wii U owners never own any other gaming devices? Also, how exactly is it 'defining a new genre'?

If so - those gamers won't like to miss Splatoon as it is unique across all systems. And somebody owning multiple systems is even more attracted to new game mechanics and IPs...

It defines a new shooter genre by changing the main mechanic to NOT kill your opponent but paint ground. This changes everything.

Like stealth play changed everything in a those games.

What is also easy to be gone unnoticed on the first glimpse is that the animations could be canceled which makes it Smash like and will seperate the "pros" from the "casuals" as these small advantages are significant as they sum up. Something that is also quite unique to Splatoon...

Here in Germay it is already impossible to order the Special Edition (Disc & Squid Amiibo) online anymore.

OK - Nintendo isn't known for flooding the channels with too many copies - but it is a very good sign...

As I buy the eShop version I hope I can get the Boy and Girl Inkling Amiibos at retail...
