If so - those gamers won't like to miss Splatoon as it is unique across all systems. And somebody owning multiple systems is even more attracted to new game mechanics and IPs...
It defines a new shooter genre by changing the main mechanic to NOT kill your opponent but paint ground. This changes everything.
Like stealth play changed everything in a those games.
What is also easy to be gone unnoticed on the first glimpse is that the animations could be canceled which makes it Smash like and will seperate the "pros" from the "casuals" as these small advantages are significant as they sum up. Something that is also quite unique to Splatoon...
