If they aren't going to develop any more console/handheld games, I sure hope they do..

It would be great if they could sell Suikoden to a company willing to give the series another chance.

However, as they have decided to mainly focus on mobile gaming from now on, it might be in their best interest to sell some of their IPs that might be a bit too obscure for the mobile platform, as THQ was forced to.

And they will try to push those franchises on mobile, most likely. Shall they do what you're saying? It certainly would benefit us gamers, but from a "Konami perspective", I think they really shouldn't.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I think it will be a general consensus tha t konami should do this, as they don't seem able to produce the great games we've come to love about them as well as moving out on the core console business, but it won't happen. ; ( I wish they would sell bomber man.... : (

They wouldn't be able to make pachinko machines about them if they did.

This is more or less the reasoning of them not selling their IPs.  Plus they can always license them out if need be.

Selling off IP's would be completely idiotic, unless they really need cash that badly. They may not have plans for certain IP's at the moment, but they may have in the future.

Is Suikoden Tierkreis a good game? It is the closest I can get with my current consoles.(It is £75 - $115 on amazon.uk)

OT: Konami should sell the iPs they have no intention of using.

A Monolith Soft Suikoden.... I can dream.....

Highly unlikely. Konami claimed they'll "focus more on mobile games" meaning devisions other than mobile would be severely scaled back but not completely closed. Konami however is better off owning their franchises and selling remakes, remasters and collections of their old games.
