They won't. Most of their IPs are still very recognizable, they would sell way more than new mobile only franchises. And I'm sad for that, I want a new 2D Catlevania and Bloodstained isn't coming to the 3DS :(

They should give their IP to Nintendo with a little catch.

Konami can still use the IP how they like for Mobile and Nintendo just gets the console rights.

Whoever buys MGS should not make a new one. And they should deffinetly not force Kojima to work on another one. He doesn't want to do them anymore.

It would be the best for the ips, but not for konami. In 2-3 years time and they're reporting losses due to 'transition to f2p' they'll look at their console ip to pay the bills.

Only if they force the buying party to make AAA games of them. We'd still be nowhere if someone resurrects Suikoden as an ugly American made rpgmaker indie game.

I would love to see them do that, but I think they will take the IP's and run them into the ground with mobile.

Like Bloodborn with Japan Studio and From software, i hope SONY will make a deal with Konami for future project, the main problem is triple A games need a lot of budget and resource.
