Kirby's Epic Yarn

North America: 1.41m 68.8%
+ Europe: 0.09m 4.4%
+ Japan: 0.45m 22.0%
+ Rest of the World: 0.10m 4.8%

And that was one of the most selling Kirby games? I think for the Wii when it was big.

In europe no one knows who kirby is... atleast not your avg joe.

Why are you only showing Kirby's Epic Yarn?

Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby Squeak Squad, Kirby 64, Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Kirby Super Star, Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble, Kirby's Pinball Land and most recently, Kirby Triple Deluxe, all sold the most in Japan. And when the games don't sell the most in Japan, they typically come very close to NA's sales.

Kirby is equally popular in Japan as it is in NA.

Because... google.... first result on kirby sales + vgchartz, and its from the Wii, so I figoured its probably the most resent of the kirby series.

Yeah looks like its popular in japan as well.

But like if I asked any of my friends, if they knew of a game character called Kirby, im pretty sure almost non of them would know what I was talking about.

Hell I could probably walk into a electronics store / gameing store, and ask random people inside there, and most probably wouldnt.

Im european and my perception is basically... no one knows kirby here.

Nah. Kirby's Return to Dreamland (Wii), Kirby Triple Deluxe (3DS) and Kirby & The Rainbow Curse (Wii U) all came after that, with 2 out of the 3 selling more in Japan and the other doing about equal to NA.

But yeah, it's pretty big there. Metroid? Not so much (though they did quite like the original games).

It's the head man. If I ever go bald, I want my head to be that shiny.

I would think it a little shameful if you called yourself a gamer and hadn't at least heard of Metroid.

Having said that it's always been a critically acclaimed but under-appreciated franchise (except for the game that we shall not name).

Ohhhh where are the cameras? THis is a joke right!!??

Sorry son, but you can't have a bad game and expect it to sell boatloads.

Color me surprised. I find it hard to believe that most gamers wouldn't have at least heard of Metroid.

One of the first franchises I ever played as a wee little tyke and still, my favorite. Never played Prime Hunters, though. It's in my backlog. Prime 1 and SM are both in my Top 10 of all time.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P
