This seems to be a general feeling from many for the last week. Been a few topics about it on here.
Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Why is Sony suddenly getting the hurting now? They haven't anything to hint disappointment... o: It'll be like their standard shows, which is not my cup of tea, but most people will enjoy regardless.

Same thing said every year - sony almost always 'wins' E3.
At a minimum, Sony have Uncharted, Ratchet&Clank which are likely going to get gameplays.
God Of War will probably get a teaser trailer, along with Gran turismo 7 if we're lucky.
Then they have their sizzle reel mid-games like tomorrows children, drawn to death and tearaway.
Media Molecules new IP? Sony Bend? Guerilla Games new IP? Guerilla Cambrige? Tons of VR launch titles? Studio London?
Probably a couple of third parties including battlefront

Lots of excitement and the usual fights regarding who will win between Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft. Then it was one dud after another and Ubisoft was declared the winner on the basis of Watch Dogs. Yes, Watch Dogs. I am not joking. 2013 was such a flop that the company who put online multiplayer behind a paywall was declared the winner. That shows how messed up it is. You get to win E3 by virtue of not having an outright disastrous showing. 2014... that was last year. Only one year ago. I don't recall anything worth of note. E3 is nothing more than a ritual that gets hyped up because it used to mean something at some point. But almost everything gets leaked beforehand, so there's hardly anything new at all. Let it go, people. E3 is garbage. |
We're just old. Jaded. Spent.
But when you're a Nintendo fan you almost always only get info during E3. It may not be mind blowing, but it's the only time this company really shows its cards. We're usually left wanting them to show more, which has less to do with our appetite and more to do with the relative lack of their offerings. Either way, though...at least we finally get something. And the fanboy wars are icing on the cake.
Disappointment is in the eye of the beholder. I'm going into each conference expecting to see only things I already know about, that way there's no chance I can be disappointed.
It will be better than last year for me. Unless my kitchen overflows with sewer water coming from the sink again. And E3 is in the middle of the night for me lol.
Well in my case i can't get more disappointed than what i am ATM because bloodborne is the only exclusive that makes worth keeping the ps4 for now. Let's hope they show something big for later this year and we don't have to wait until uncharted 4 for the next exclusive GOTY...

All they really need to do is show more UC4 gameplay, announce GT7 with a release for the holidays this year, announce the next GoW, reveal Guerilla's new game, Sucker Punch's new game, and combine all that with strong third party support, and they're golden. Sony has a lot more up their sleeves to show at E3 than people are giving them credit for. I'm honestly not worried.
Just announce a good, long Bloodborne DLC and that'll add 200 more hours spent in that game.

Do you only play exclusives? If so, I feel bad for you... you are missing out on a lot of good games. If not, you get the better version of console multi platforms.
Regardless xb1 has nothing until halo, and Nintendo is Nintendo (particular fan base ).
