RANT INCOMING!

To all of you who says, "who cares, PS4 will still outsell XBONE", what about all of us who owns a PS4, are we just going to except not getting any BIG games, because we partially help them become market leaders? It is like punishing us for buying their console. !

I don't know how to say it, but its kinda like Sony doesn't care once you bought the console. They already got your money and increased their market share, so in this way, you've already served your purose. Now all they gotta do is wait for you to buy the superior 3rd party multiplats and watch the money roll in.

It seems like its their whole strategy. Its why they are focusing on exclusive content with 3rd party games, advertisiing exclusivity with 3rd party games, and are piimping all the indies like they are the greatest thing on the planet. Some token first party support and some of 3rd party exclusives along with superior 3rd party multiplats, and they win this generation with minimal effort.

Yep,which statement is truest?

"ALL of Sony's first party studios are standing around doing nothing and they haven't release a single exclusive

or

"Sony have release 1st party game - MLB, Killzone, LBP3, The Order, Drive Club - pulled in exclusive and timed exclusives from 3rd party developers, have exclusives and timed exclusives from 3rd party developers in the pipeline, have announced 1st party exclusives on the horizon and we know that they have studios working on unannounced projects."

One it true and one partly contradicts what you say.

What? I said token first party support. It'll still get its Uncharteds and TLOUs and Gran Turismos. Its just that the focus of the Sony hype machine is more on 3rd party games and Best on PlayStation. As well it should be. Its a real advantage the ps4 has and they are riding it.

My PS4 and I aren't worried, it's Sony afterall. Down the road they'll always deliver and anybody that doubts Sony nowjust because they don't have any 1st party games this holiday is foolish.

In the mean time i'll be looking forward to Persona 5.

so I guess if games don't release in (sept)Oct-Dec the whole year is mute?

And what is your point? Besides a metascore of at least 92, now games have to have a minimum size target audience to be truly counted as worth mentioning exclusive?

"No offense."

Yeah, right.

I am just saying, there are currently 20+ million PS4 owners out there, Bloodborne and MLB 15: The Show probably reached 15% of all owners at best. I am part of the 85% that those games didn't appeal to.

So what?

Hunting Season is done...

Sony's radio silence about what their first party developers are working on is effecting the public reception of the PS4. I'm also quite surprised that they don't realize indie games and non AAA titles don't count as exclusives.

They probably forgot to contact you - "The Arbiter of what we can call exclusive".

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

But I'll have a PS4 by then though put something out.

Still trying to get my head around the logic where Sony are arrogant because they have delayed a couple of games for a few months.

I know what you said and you are clearly down-playing Sony exclusives. Your very first sentence sets the tone - "I don't know how to say it, but its kinda like Sony doesn't care once you bought the console".

Sony has released 6....ish 1st party games since launch which is pretty good for a console only a Year and a half in. 4 of those games have been well received and although it took a bit of to get Drive Club up to standard after launch it's really only Knack and The Order that have had poor reviews. If people expect more than 3 first party games a year then they expect to much even for Sony who has the most first party studios out of the Big 3.

The Order and Drive Club are new Ip's so Sony are trying to mix established franchises with new ones. I expect this trend to continue. Naughty Dog are working on Uncharted and their other team are more than likely working TLOU 2, Polyphony Digital are probably working on GT7 and Santa Monica are probably working on God of War but Santa Monica are rumoured to have a second team working on something and Gorilla Games also have a second studio. Then we have Media Molcules next project since development for LBP3 was outsourced to Sumo Digital and Tearaway: Unfolded will no doubt be a side project while they work on their next game.

If Sony go chasing after 3rd party exclusives, it doesn't really alter what there 1st party studios are working on.
