Winners always get complacent.

Can you blame them?

Their competition has been barebones this gen when trying to appeal to the average casual gamer.

I remember reading a magazine before the PS2 released.  Sony was like (From memory so forgive me) " Our competition isn't even from other consoles. Our competition is music, movies, sports, basically anything competing for your time".

They need to get that attitude back!  If not, they'll destroy Nintendo and Microsoft but they'll be the winner in an arena that is no longer "cool".  Sounds good on paper that video game console sales are better this gen than ever before but, as a gamer since the early 80's, I can't remember a time where I've seen as little effort put in by the winner--and really, all players, as I have this go around.

Why should they be worried? PS4 is clearly going to sell regardless of any 1st party games (or lack there of) it has.

Sony did say, about a year ago, that there would be less AAA exclusives this gen. At least they are honest.

So I guess it's just they have an overall bigger scope than they had originally anticipated?

Yes, and I think they should be more flexible with budgets and technical ambitions to deliver more games. You dont need those gigantic production values to do good games. But is kind of their style I guess.

Hey, if they can make better games with that money, I don't see what'd be wrong with it ; ) Though I guess that adds the amount of time to make them too...

bloodborne, mlb, and the order just launched.  until dawn is just around the corner.    what was the last release on xbox?  what is the next one?

in conclusion i agree, fuck sony.

1. Bloodborne targets a small and very specific audience.

2. MLB 15: The Show, targets an even smaller audience.

3. The Order: 1886 was Sony's only title to target a the masses, but that title crashed and burned harder than any title has this gen.

No offense.

Why not just wait till E3 and see what they got? By the way, 3 exclusives were launched just recently, what did the other two consoles launch recently as exclusives? The Wii U also launched 2, and the XBox One? Let's just wait and see people.

The only people I see "concerned" about the PS4's holiday lineup are the ones that will probably never have any intentions of owning one.

Thanks jlmurph!

Pretty much.

I don't see why people think Sony wouldn't have any sort of first-party game prepared for the holidays. Even if a bunch of games got delayed, they must obviously have something. If i'm wrong and they actually don't announce anything, then I don't know.

Then you need to reread this thread, there are a few.
