Shu yoshida is an incompetent guy. He greenlighted knack, driveclub, the order 1886, beyond two souls etc. He should be fired.

U has exclusives, hows it doing market wise ? Since day 1 of the PS sony knew success is getting all the games from everybody, these days its the indies and better versions of games and short term deals and what not.

Exclusives are not the biggest #1 reason a console fails or succeeds, Sony knows this they have known since the beginning and they won 3/4 gens in brutal fashion. Why most of you don't know is perplexing.


As far as their studios they are taking their sweet ass time, why because they can. Nothing more people, there is no rushing major games now. PS4 gives then that benefit. Uncharted and GT will come when they do and they will do colossus sales and be of the highest quality. PS4 success gives them the time to do it right.

That is a complete lie. Start of this gen they spent forever talking about how many exclusive titles they had lined up for the ps4. Sony went all in, pushing to get every indie they could to be console exclusive. Even their marketing campaigns with third partys make it look like the games are exclusive to their console. The ps1 and 2 gens had rediculous amounts of exclusives and you don't think that was a huge factor?

Sony released MLB 13, God of War: Ascension, The Last of Us, Puppeteer, Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus, Beyond: Two Souls and Gran Turismo 6 on PS3 and Knack and Killzone Shadow Fall on PS4 in 2013(only mentioned retail games).

It takes time to create new experiences.

Also, exclusives dont sell consoles. 3rd party games like Fifa, COD and assasins creed do. Sony don't need to do shit

the amount of Games churned out by First Party at the End of Ps3 life cycle is nothing short of massive... and people are expecting them to turn around, adapt to new hardware, create new engine just within 2 years.

And m i the only one who think its good that Sony are trying not to announce any game unless if they are 6 months or a year away from release. Sony had to face so much flak by announcing games at PS4 reveal that majority of the gaming community started a Rant like OP when Sony didnt announce anything new at E3 2013.

Its not the qauntity that Sony is lacking, like you said, more then half of there games released on PS3. My biggest concern is there quality. Apart from TLOU and Bloodborne (Co-Developered) There other titles have all been doing worse then there previous games or just simply failing to satifiy.

Infamous Second Son (80) is the worse in the series.

Infamous First Light (73) didnt resurrect this game. 

Knack (54) was poor from the beginning,

Drive Club (71) theres no excuses for the delay and still managed to score low and lack content.

The Order (63) came out with an entire year delay and still managed to be flak as bad as Ryse (60)

Killzone Shadow Fall (73) failed to compete with other shooters the moment one was released.

Beyond Two Souls (70) failed to capture the hearts of gamers and was shot down pretty quick.

LittleBigPlanet 3 (79) i know it would have scored higher if it was bugged free but theres no excuse when it comes to our dollars.

Gran Turismo 6 (80) This franchise is getting worse on every release. It use to average 90/100 now its barely scrapping it in the 80/100

Iv only given afew examples and im using Metacritic to back up what im saying here. Sony needs to get there act togother fast. Dont released 1 Master peice every few years, these are 1st party titles, these are the games, gamers are buying the platform for. If the 1st party games dont pick up soon then gamers will eventually move to other platforms with the same 3rd party games with better 1st party exclusive.

At the moment Sony have time to figure this out only becuase WiiU lacks 3rd party games and MS havnt released anything ground breaking thus far, but on average Sony have the least favrite games reviewed so far based off there 1st party metacritic scores. Theres just 2 few of must have games and too many average games there producing.

I hate to say it but this is what happens when someone becomes dominant on the market. With PS3 they hade to push hard at one point and it gave us some amazing games. With PS4 there is less pressure and PS4 seems to be selling anyway, so quality is lower and things start to get delayed. This is why competition is important folks.
