What? No. That's stupid. There won't be any Nintendo handhelds in ten years.
Hopefully they have the full voice-acting in this version. The Android version didn't and it was quite disappointing for that reason (although it was only $19,99 and I could play it in 1080p on my tablet.) I probably won't buy this game a third time unless the extra content is awesome.

No. Possibly in the Wii's, but the Wii U and 3DS VC lack Dragon Quest titles. They did however get rereleased on iOS/Android platforms. Japan also got DQ 1-3 on 3DS recently, I believe.

This one and DQVII looks very interesting and I wish I could play it. Planning on buying DQIX for DS but don't know if it is a good game.

It's not only a good game, but a great game. I'd say DQ VIII = DQ IX (good for different reasons)> DQ VII (and they are the top three DQ games in my opinion.)
