Forums - Nintendo - Fire Emblem If Removes Weapon Durability; Characters Revive Next Turn in "Phoenix Down" Mode

http://gematsu.com/2015/05/fire-emblem-if-eliminates-weapon-usage-limit

In Fire Emblem If, in addition to the "Casual" mode featured in Fire Emblem Awakening, where down units are revived after a chapter is completed, the game will also feature a "Phoenix Down" mode, where down units are revived during the next turn.

The game also eliminates the limited uses of weapons before they break, a staple feature of the Fire Emblem series.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

You scared me there for a second. I thought this would be enforced throughout the whole game.

Good thing this is just in the Casual.. It's expected they would make the casual mode easier. As long as we have the regular difficulty of a FE game, I'm okay with this.

Sorry about that, I updated the thread title to be more specific.

REPORTED FOR TOYING WITH MY HEART.

Hopefully the game finds a way to balance that out now that weapons can't break on their own. I remember in Final Fantasy Tactics there were certain abilities that allowed you to break enemy weapons/armor, so maybe that's a solution Fire Emblem could use as well?

This is great. I never really called this casual mode. I saw it as: Let's remove the annoyances of losing stuff you worked hard to build up.

Is the removal of weapon durability just for Casual mode or for all modes?

I like the weapons having durability, means I cant spam the best weapons constantly. Imagine constantly using those very long range spell tomes non stop.

Based on the article's wording, it appears that they're removing weapon durability all together.
