Wonder if thats enough to give it some real attention over there. Western indie devs make plenty of 8 and 16 bit inspired games you would think Japan would love and yet none have ever really done well... to be fair I doubt many are even localised.

Kinda wonder if that was added in SPM as a response to people's reactions to that game. It turned out to be not traditional Paper Mario, but great in its own right. Color Splash has a chance of ending up the same way, and not like Sticker Star. We'll have to see though.

I kinda like that Nintendo has been packaging physical items with a lot of their games recently. Whether it be amiibo (Yoshi, TPHD), amiibo cards (Happy Home Designer, Pokken), booklets (Super Mario Maker) or additional games entirely (Star Fox Zero), it's kinda interesting and I wouldn't mind seeing them continue this next gen.
