Not really seeing hate, mostly disappointment and disinterest, that's certainly how I feel about it now. The gameplay looks solid and true to it's roots still, so Miyamoto didn't screw it up as badly as he did Paper Mario atleast.

Previous Atlus games had pretty decent English VAs so I can understand a part of the frustration.

Although I think that Nintendo obviously didn't want to pay the English VA and it has nothing to be with the game being set in Tokyo (PR bullshit in the end), I really think that a game which talks about Japanese culture, with Japanese idols, Japanese music... should have, at least, a Japanese VA option. The best thing to do would be to pay for an English dub and give the player a choice. I'd choose Japanese, but I know some people prefer an English dub.

Must be the original Japanese watching purists who are celebratin'. They love the original Japanese voices and shun any sort of dubbing. I don't really get why people are like this. Sure, some of it used to be bad, but it was still interesting to see in English. I hate the mindsets these groups have. I used to be like this as well.. -_-; 

I don't and haven't for the longest time. I'm just not seeing what others claim to see. I just see a fun, clean game reminiscent of the 64 days.

Those lucky EU/AUS peeps... We didn't get the double sided poster nor steelbook. : T But we did get the cool carrying bag thing.

Best part about that was Azure striker gunvolt 2 for me.
Love the first one, that's a great megaman succesor right there. Not like another game that's taking forever to come out and doesn't look that good to begin with...mighty #9

I feel like I'm the only one who really dug what we saw of Paper Mario Color Splash. I mean, the game's beautiful, Paper Mario's finally back on home console, the new concept of paint seems really cool, and I can't wait to have more info about it. I hope it will be better than Sticker Star.
