Wait, so Tower Control replaces Splat Zones?

I realize it's on purpose, but I think they're missing the mark slightly with some of their choices. The level cap should have been raised already, even if it's just to 40, and they could make it take longer to max out your level.
Also, I really don't think there's an excuse at this point for splitting Ranked Battle in such a way. There is enough of an active userbase to support three modes.
Alright it's time to vent a little about this game I just got out of! I generally blame myself and look at my own mistakes after losses since I can always play better, but I mean I played pretty damn great this game with 16-2 K/D and singlehandedly bringing the tower close enough to give us the lead, and yet, we still lost. We went into overtime, meaning all we had to do was get control of the tower to win, but unfortunately they bubble shielded forcing me back, and dodging this one guy landed me too close to a bomb that I didn't see. All three of my allies were still alive so I was like ok we can still do this! By the time I respawned, all three were dead, while all four enemys still lived. They seriously couldn't even kill one guy. No chance at all at that point, so I just transformation spamed at the spawn and threw a grenade at them when they respawned. Yep I was pretty dang salty, they were the worst A+ team I've ever seen!

I feel you bro this used to happen to me very often (not recently I have been players with good teammate) that's the downside of ranked battles having bad teammate is really frustrating, unliked regular battles were it really doesn't matter that much.

This is exactly why I prefer regular battles. I don't have to rely on my team as much.
Ranked Battle is the only thing in Splatoon that I have been genuinely frustrated with.

Pretty much one of the big reasons why I haven't really gotten higher than B so far. Literally every time I've died in Splatzones (haven't had a chance to play Tower Control yet) the opposing team got the point and killed almost all of my teammates. Yeah it makes me feel like a contributing part of the team, but it infuriates me when we can't win a game just because I ended up dying and my team wasn't able to hold them off. And it doesn't help that I get salty at online games really easily.

I never really cared before because it's to be expected in lower ranks where there's a higher diversity of skill levels, but in A+ I expect everyone to be competent with skill comparable to other A+ players, thus when a player has an exceptional game the team he's on wins said game, rather than being the only reason the game wasn't over in less than a minute.

Yep I get what you say, I´m now at A rank and I have been playing with good players, both on my team and In the opposing team is not as frustating as when I was at B or B+, plus I am better at the game so that helps too. Still you can´t avoid the bad teammates forever.

So your team only functions while you're alive eh? Simply stop dying and hide in a corner, then your team will win everytime!

Every time I start getting mad in ranked battles I just go back and chill on regular battles, it feels so good is like I´m having a different experience, plus I can play with friends and that so much better that playing with randoms.
