I hope you're right.  I just want both and all future modes to be available, and not this splitting of modes...

I'm surprised they didn't at least randomize it.  Wouldn't be idea but would make it more diverse.

Basically, they introduced the Tower Defence mode, which is also considered a ranked battle. However, this mode replaces SplatZones so you cannot play that mode anymore at the moment. Also, it keeps the same rank but that isn't really too much of an issue

I'm shocked this is happening in the first place... I wonder if it was a decision to do it this way, or they can't have all the modes available from the start...

If Nintendo could release a statement regarding this predicament, that'd be great.

One thing that comes to mind is the Splatfest. If they want this to be a mode in that, perhaps they wanted to have players acclimated to it? Just a thought; not that I think it is a good idea necessarily.

I think it's Tower Defence only today because it's new, just like new maps are in the rotation for the whole first day.

And yes, Krakens can be pushed back now, I already killed some of them right after the switch back to Inkling form.


Welp, I finally reached B+ yesterday and got matched with mostly A- players and now I'm back at B

So my Wii U has for some reason permanently defaulted to showing the oldest threads first. If I click to show newest threads again, it'll revert back once I enter a thread and then click Nintendo discussion or any of them. Only if I use the back button will it stay as it should. Kind of annoying but eh.
