So what are people's opinions on Arms who have bought it? Worth the 60 buck price tag? I've just been a bit weary with the reviews.

Given my avatar, you already know what my answer is! If you're unsure just wait until all the free dlc is out and decide then.

So...
We're just not going to talk about the fact that Nintendo confirmed the SNES Classic for September???
Or the fact that they're including Star Fox 2 among the collection of 21 SNES games???
Nobody on here follows Nintendo on social media???

Have a nice day...

Let's rock and roll

There's already a thread for it, though I suppose you could say that about every discussion in here.

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

An interesting glimpse into the troubled development of Metroid Prime. Apparently the game was born because the only thing Retro had to show Nintendo when they showed up was an FPS engine demo.

http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/300554/How_a_Retro_Studios_prototype_laid_the_foundation_for_Metroid_Prime.php

“When I came on board, the Engine group was significantly behind schedule and there was no way to create gameplay demonstrables in an effective fashion,” said Wikan. “I was told, quite literally, by leadership that designers would design the game on paper, then hand it off to engineering and art to create it. In my opinion that was insanity.”

“When Nintendo arrived suddenly, wanting to see demonstrables of all the games that the teams were working on, only our FPS had demonstrable real-time scriptable content. Nintendo liked what they saw and proposed we adapt that game and viewpoint, but restart it as a Metroid game.”

Interesting interview with Takahashi. Also, gets some info on the plot/setting. Apparently the Titans are slowly dying, which is causing wars and struggles between the various civilizations. This explains why Rex and Pyra are looking for access to Elysium and the wars we got hints of in the Treehouse.

Jury is still out on which character will stab us in the back. After all, it IS a Xeno- game :P

Nintendo Gives Details and Some History on Midna's Helmet in Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC

This post also gives some interesting background on Midna as a character. It turns out that she evolved from a 'goblin/devilkin' design that was produced for a 'secret project' worked on before Twilight Princess. You can see examples below.
