He goes to specultae about a possible Switch announcement there, but I think its safe to say its about the mobile game, so I would advise to ignore his obvious hype.

I'm siding with the mobile game reveal, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Switch tease in there

And Nintendo may release the AC mobile first to increase awareness and then release the Proper AC game on the Switch. Pokemon Go style! (Definetly not as huge as go)

Ugh, it's kinda disgusting how much Capcom are milking Monster Hunter on 3DS. This is the 6th series release on it.

Except in the West where every release continues to affirm my stance that the only chance it has to fulfill its sales potential here is *on a home console*.  Hopefully we get a Switch version.  And a real Switch version, not just a retextured 3DS game.

The Wii U version didn't do so well, but it's probably because it was just ported basically

A Switch version definitely will do well, since the handheld market [should] be there too

Some of the handheld market will be there, but a lot won't.  The Switch is looking to launch to expensive and too big frankly to grab the pure handheld audience.  That's why there's such an emphasis on its console aspects imo.  Cause 250 is the absolute lowest I can see it going for and we all know how prices of that range worked out for Vita and 3DS.  And I would say 299 is the more likely price.

Japan may be content to keep buying the same crappy recycled PS2 assets forevermore, but if they want the series to really take off in the WEest, they need to stop being cheapskates and make a proper console entry with great graphics.

Well it's also the fact that it 1) focuses on big scale and big bosses (more popular on consoles here for sure) and 2) has an online focus.  I can't stress that second part, that's just crippling it here cause our WiFi availability and speed is just not as high and ubiquitous as in Japan.
