"Ever since more or less becoming a Nintendo handheld exclusive, it seems that the Monster Hunter series has been gradually finding better footing in the West. The series has always been a home run in Japan, but Capcom has been tirelessly working to garner similar results overseas.

According to Capcom, Monster Hunter Generations has moved 4.1 million units worldwide, with 800,000 of those sales coming from the last six months. Bear in mind that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, which launched in February 2015, only passed the 4 million mark this month. MH4U was also the first game to pass the 1 million mark in the West, but it's looking like Generations is set to reach that as well."

So uh, I've been updating the points again for NintenDomination, and now am at the 13000 post mark so have around 1500 posts to cover. I'll be updating the public point list once I actually catch up, but that won't be until later.. D:

However, in back May, we have a new Defender of NintenDomination! He was a past defender in the old thread

Please congratulate Einsam_Delphin for becoming 9th Defender! He's been in this thread through the good and bad and has participated in many events and tournaments. We may have clashing opinions, but it's never a chore and I do get some great ideas and opinions for how to improve things

Japan may be content to keep buying the same crappy recycled PS2 assets forevermore, but if they want the series to really take off in the WEest, they need to stop being cheapskates and make a proper console entry with great graphics.
