Forums - Gaming - Worst Used Game Experience?

Do you buy used games?

Yes 25 31.65%

No 13 16.46%

Sometimes 28 35.44%

Yes, but I'm careful now 8 10.13%

No, I used to but got too... 5 6.33%

Total:79

I bought the first Uncharted used from Gamestop. Brought it home and as I pulled it out of the case noticed that the CD was split right at the center circle. It wasn't on the actual data area of the CD, just the plastic center. I still brought the game back though, as I like my discs to not have cracks in them. Was told when I attempted to return it that they can't accept a cracked game, didn't believe that they sold it to me, and off they sent me.

Buying NFS pro street for $5 and still felt like a complete waste of money.

Wow, really you two?

I think i own more then 140 ps3 games.. And in Total way more then 500+ games counting physical games only.. At that point you start to forget a few..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I don't really any more unless it's a game I can't get for a reasonable price otherwise (DS/3DS games). Getting a messed up disc and not supporting the industry isn't worth saving a couple bucks in my opinion. My worst experience is getting a used Guitar Hero game off Amazon that wouldn't work and I never got around to sending it back because I'm a super smart guy.

Buying Sonic colors and thinking that a good 3d sonic could exist.

Sonic Generations is good. However, being good for a Sonic game since Sega's downfall is the exception, not the rule.

I don't even think Generations is good. I have a feeling that Sonic fans have gotten so used to just crap since the Dreamcast that they'll grasp anything that is actually functioning and call it good as long as you can run.

Nah, it's a good game. This and Sonic 4 are the only things left. But Sonic 3 and Knuckles still is the pinnacle.

Capcom vs SNK 2 on xbox. Doesnt have manual and scratches give it a problem to start but was 2 bucks anyways.

I don't even think Sonic 4 was good. The last great Sonic games were the Advance trilogy. After that, they've all been mediocre to bad. Generations leans towards bad.

I don't normally buy used games. Last of Us on PS3 is the only one I ever gotten in recent memory, and even then... even though it looks new, it still bugs me a bit.

I do, however buy used games for my older consoles. I have 4 sega genesis titles coming in the mail. But, because I buy most of my stuff new, I don't have any horror stories.

The cartridge shell on some of my genesis games are questionable. But, they all work, and I could always buy another one. There's no reason for World of Illusion to have an "Acclaim" logo on the back of the cart, with a re-printed label.
